The aim of this article is to explore if technology management capabilities (TMC) lead to more resilient and innovative firms. As resilience is a desired attribute for firms in today's disruptive ...business world, in this article, taking the dynamic capabilities view, we argue the mediating role of organizational resilience capacity (ORC) between TMC and product innovativeness. We also explore the role of technological turbulence in moderating the relationship between TMC and ORC. By developing and testing hypotheses via partial least squares structural equation modeling with SmartPLS 3, we collect data through a self-administered questionnaire from 192 firms operating in the Turkish information and communications technologies industry. The results show that the capacity for resilience mediated the relationship between TMC and product innovativeness and technological turbulence moderated the relationship between TMC and ORC. This first study of the literature to investigate the role of ORC in the relationship between TMC and product innovativeness also seeks to understand whether TMC help organizations build the capacity for resilience. This study also examines the impact of technological turbulence, which is one of the important contextual factors in the relationship between TMC and ORC.

The sport industry is increasingly being influenced by technology innovation for its global competitiveness. Technology is evident in sport in a variety of contexts including from the playing, ...consuming and spectator experience. Due to the inherent need for technology in sport it is becoming more important to understand how to develop a comprehensive strategy regarding the management of innovation. The aim of this article is to discuss the role of sport technology in both the technology innovation and sport management literature by taking an organisational learning approach. This helps to understand how knowledge is managed in a sport context and how it contributes to the development of sport technology. In addition, the role of entrepreneurial ecosystems in the sport industry is discussed with a goal of understanding the way sport technology emerges. The article concludes by highlighting the importance of taking a sport technology perspective in the global economy.

The purpose of this research is to analyze the application of digital twin technology in the efficient management of new innovative technology. The research is directed to perform a bibliometric ...analysis of the subject topic. The relevancy of the research can be underlined by the fact that digital twin technologies are a popular concept of Industry 4.0. In addition, this research is advantageous to identify the application of digital twin technology in efficient technology management, especially in Malaysia. As a scope, it would highlight possible use cases of digital twin technology. The review of existing literature highlighted that digital twin technology has serious use case potential in supply chain operations. Whereas other scholars argue that digital twin technology can bring out major disruptive innovations to improve the internal competencies of major manufacturing firms. The methodology for the research involves the use of secondary data with bibliometric analysis. It has been identified in the findings that there is a rise in research associated with digital twin technology between the timelines from 2019 to 2022. Furthermore, Chinese Academies are most active in propagating research on variables like digital twins.

This article describes an emergent logic of accumulation in the networked sphere, ‘surveillance capitalism,’ and considers its implications for ‘information civilization.’ The institutionalizing ...practices and operational assumptions of Google Inc. are the primary lens for this analysis as they are rendered in two recent articles authored by Google Chief Economist Hal Varian. Varian asserts four uses that follow from computer-mediated transactions: data extraction and analysis,’ ‘new contractual forms due to better monitoring,’ ‘personalization and customization, ’ and continuous experiments. ’ An examination of the nature and consequences of these uses sheds light on the implicit logic of surveillance capitalism and the global architecture of computer mediation upon which it depends. This architecture produces a distributed and largely uncontested new expression of power that I christen: Big Other. ’ It is constituted by unexpected and often illegible mechanisms of extraction, commodification, and control that effectively exile persons from their own behavior while producing new markets of behavioral prediction and modification. Surveillance capitalism challenges democratic norms and departs in key ways from the centuries-long evolution of market capitalism.
Evaluation of design artefacts and design theories is a key activity in Design Science Research (DSR), as it provides feedback for further development and (if done correctly) assures the rigour of ...the research. However, the extant DSR literature provides insufficient guidance on evaluation to enable Design Science Researchers to effectively design and incorporate evaluation activities into a DSR project that can achieve DSR goals and objectives. To address this research gap, this research paper develops, explicates, and provides evidence for the utility of a Framework for Evaluation in Design Science (FEDS) together with a process to guide design science researchers in developing a strategy for evaluating the artefacts they develop within a DSR project. A FEDS strategy considers why, when, how, and what to evaluate. FEDS includes a two-dimensional characterisation of DSR evaluation episodes (particular evaluations), with one dimension being the functional purpose of the evaluation (formative or summative) and the other dimension being the paradigm of the evaluation (artificial or naturalistic). The FEDS evaluation design process is comprised of four steps: (1) explicate the goals of the evaluation, (2) choose the evaluation strategy or strategies, (3) determine the properties to evaluate, and (4) design the individual evaluation episode(s). The paper illustrates the framework with two examples and provides evidence of its utility via a naturalistic, summative evaluation through its use on an actual DSR project.
