The basic purpose of this paper is to describe information as the most valuable currency of postmodern times onwards. Starting from the ground up, the media of mass delivery of information are ...systematically described and the problems encountered by senders and recipients of media messages are based on examples. The paper carefully defines today’s information tools, their reach to internal and external publics, media pragmatism as a motive for using these tools, but also the general characteristics of the development of global communication. Through a discussion based on secondary data, the paper describes the principles of media communication today and, as an intriguing basis, sets the problem of information dissonance in the mass media. The global socio-economic and political environment in which the media communication process takes place is also described. Special attention is paid to the rapid development of information technology, the progress of which creates a favorable environment for a great step forward in the media evolution, the accelerated use of all available options for the development of media tools and techniques and media communication strategies. Furthermore, the paper analyses the stratification of the categories of recipients of media information with regard to the degree of privilege regarding the ruling political option, geolocation, profession, position in society, and especially according to personal and local standards. From the aspect of the motive for creating a scale of privileges, the goals of mass media owners, politicians and the position of power in general, which achieves its own goals with the help of opinion makers and news placement techniques, are observed. It also analyzes the role of the audience, which has changed in the context of demands and attitudes, posing an additional challenge for media content creators. The paper structures the recipients of information in relation to technological changes that have occurred in the media communication process in relation to fast, specialized and two-way communication of the new public, with special emphasis on constant and up-to-date change of media content providers and communication strategy towards the new public. Ultimately, the work results in a summary of the current state and the development of communication in the future that supports the old allegory that the pen is stronger than the sword.
Cilj.

This paper features an overview of the foundations of transhumanism. The transhumanist movement has existed since the end of the 20th century and espouses the use of technology for enhancing the ...human condition. Due to a certain level of similarity to posthumanism, this overview of transhumanism begins with an analysis of basic terminology: transhumanism, posthumanism, the transhuman being and the posthuman being. After that, transhumanism is studied from the perspectives of different disciplines. These disciplines are: philosophy of science, metaphysics, ethics, philosophy of mind, philosophy of religion and political philosophy.
The paper analyses various metaphysical and eschatological implications of transhumanism, especially in the light of its idea of the immortality of the human species. Through a concise interpretation ...of the historical framework of the emergence of the transhumanist movement, the paper highlights its main features such as human improvement, overcoming human nature, and overcoming inherent human deficiencies using modern scientific disciplines and modern technologies. Those features help understand metaphysics and eschatology as formed by some aspects of transhumanism. These aspects are unquestionably technological and secular in their principles, as they distance themselves from the religious understanding of human longing and death. Often, death is understood as a mistake, while the process of ageing is seen as a pathological, humiliating but curable condition. Transhumanism thus marks the end of the humantranscendental perspective of a free individual, created by the goodness of God and saved by the love of God, through the mystery of Jesus Christ. The paper argues that technocratic solutions cannot fulfil fundamental human longings.
Mass customization (MC) is gaining steadyattention in both industry and academia. Recently,MC implementation guidelines (MC-IGs) have been identified as an emerging sub-stream of MC research. A ...review of thissub-stream has beenpublishedin the current year, with a practitioner-oriented view. The present paper complementsthat review by focusing on the researchers’ need to improve the way MC-IGs are developed and communicated. By providing data generated from asystematic literature review on MC-IGs,the present paper informs researchers abouthow much and in which way certain aspectsof MC-IGs havebeen considered in the available guidelines. Through a systematic and detailed description of the published MC-IGs, the present article supports researchers to clearly communicatethesimilarities and differences intheir proposed advancements on MC-IGs. Finally, by reflecting on the very nature of the output of MC-IG research, this article suggests open and wide adoption ofthe design science research strategy to develop and test MC-IGs.
Antimony tin oxide (ATO) nanoparticles were prepared using co-precipitation with tin chloride and antimony chloride as the main raw materials. X-ray diffraction (XRD), field-emission scanning ...electron microscopy (FESEM) and ultraviolet-visible spectrophotometry were used to characterize the crystal structure, morphology and laser reflectivity. The effects of the pH value, co-precipitation reaction temperature, calcination temperature and calcination time on the laser reflectivity of ATO nanoparticles were studied. The results show that, compared with the undoped SnO2 powder, the reflectivity of a Sb-doped ATO powder at a laser wavelength of 1.06 µm is significantly reduced, and with an increase in the Sb doping, the reflectivity of the ATO powder at 1.06 µm first decreases and then increases. When the Sb/Sn molar ratio is 2/10, the reflectivity decreases to the lowest point, which is caused by the high concentration of Sb5+. ATO powders (Sb/Sn = 2/10) prepared at a titration-end-point pH of 2, co-precipitation temperature of 70 °C, calcination temperature of 800 °C and calcination time of 6 h have the lowest laser reflectivity at the laser wavelength of 1.06 µm, which is less than 0.02 %.
When introducing and using technology in nursing, there is a danger that too much focus is placed on technology over caring for patients. The 'Technological competency as caring in nursing' theory ...can facilitate technology in caring, but the theory needs to be described, analysed and evaluated before it is used. The purpose of the literature review was to determine the possibility of applying the theory in education, research and practice, and whether the theory could be used to guide research into the use of electronic nursing record systems.
A literature search was conducted in PubMed, CINAHL, ScienceDirect, Google Scholar and Google Books, and supplemented with manual searching using the keywords 'Locsin', 'technology', 'caring' and 'nursing theory'. The criteria for inclusion were fully accessible articles and books in English on the relevant topics. The review process is shown in a PRISMA diagram. A hierarchy of evidence was used to evaluate the relative strength of the results. Pajnkihar's model was used to describe, analyse and evaluate the theory.
A total of 26 hits were included in the final analysis. The theory in question meets the criteria of clarity, simplicity and complexity, adequacy, importance and significance; it can be tested; and it is useful in patient care that employs technology.
The theory is useful in nursing education, research and practice. The theory will be used to guide research on the perception of technological competency and care of internal medicine patients by nurses when using the electronic nursing record system in three Slovenian hospitals.
