The use of tutoring systems has become normalized in secondary schools (grades 7-9) in many parts of the world. There have been studies analyzing the students' behavior, their affective responses, or ...the abuse of the system, but little has been done to discover other types of behavior. This paper presents evidence that there are different types of help-seeking behavior which can be typified in Mexican students interacting with the Scooter intelligent tutoring system (ITS), which was designed to teach mathematics at secondary-level. The implemented methodology consisted of applying discovery algorithms and data mining to typify students in terms of their help-seeking behaviors. The results and contributions of this work suggest that gaming the system with the aforementioned ITS may not always be useful. Future work will analyze other student groups who have used this software in other parts of the world to correlate these typologies to students' traits or opinions about mathematics and learning.
In order to improve the effect of knife-holding training and reduce the requirement of experimental environment, an intelligent tutor system for knife-holding training is designed and studied. The ...system can simulate the anatomy working scene, and has the function of intelligent recognition of scalpel holding technique and movement. It can also automatically complete the whole experiment teaching process, such as knife-holding training task layout, precise monitoring of training process, multimedia interactive training guidance, training result evaluation, educational administration management and so on. The experimental results show that the new design concept and practice method of the system are of great significance for reference and popularization.
The relevance of the article. The article examines modern forms and methods of conducting independent work in the distance mode when preparing future competitive specialists in maritime transport. ...The article notes the changes in the modern system of higher education associated with the reduction of practical, laboratory studies and an increase of independent work hours. It indicates the need for innovative computer-based learning technologies, that create conditions for effective assimilation of knowledge and formation of professional skills. The object of the research is the process of vocational training, namely, distance learning and phases of mastering educational material. Learning activities in the distance learning system are an opportunity to learn theoretical knowledge and to master practical learning skills outside the classroom. The subject of the research in this article is the process of organizing independent work of students as a means of forming professional competencies. The necessity of the optimal organization of independent work is analyzed taking into account the requirements of modern educational standards and forms of control. The research methods: theoretical methods (analysis of educational and methodical literature on the studied problem); empirical methods (various types of computer testing as one of the most common forms of control in the work of cadets and the role of a tutor in training activities used in verifying the performance of independent work). As a result, the effectiveness of the use of various types of testing in the independent work of students has been revealed. Innovative distance learning technologies and their combination with traditional methods are offered, which ensures the quality of self-organization and self-training of cadets.
Este artículo tiene como objetivo analizar los sentidos e innovaciones sobre el acompañamiento tutorial en la formación doctoral, mediante un método que consistió en la selección de experiencias ...significativas sobre este acompañamiento. Para ello se realizaron entrevistas semiestructuradas a un grupo de tutores(as) del doctorado en Educación y Sociedad de la Universidad de La Salle-Bogotá, Colombia, cuya información se sistematizó para identificar elementos sustantivos, con el fin de explorar sus visiones sobre la tutoría. Los resultados revelan el carácter polisémico del acompañamiento, determinado por las formas en que los tutores(as) fueron formados como doctores(as), en virtud de lo cual se definen las estrategias y el seguimiento al proceso de formación en el doctorado. Sobre las innovaciones se proyectan apuestas para transitar desde tutorías individuales a grupales, con visión ecosistémica.
Kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematika peserta didik SMP N 5 Kebumen masih rendah. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui keefektifan model pembelajaran tutor sebaya bernuansa etnomatematika ...terhadap kemampuan pemecahan masalah peserta didik pada materi segiempat. Populasi penelitian ini adalah peserta didik kelas VII SMP N 5 Kebumen tahun pelajaran 2014/2015. Dengan menggunakan teknik cluster random sampling terpilih kelas VII A sebagai kelas eksperimen dan kelas VII B sebagai kelas kontrol. Metode untuk memperoleh data meliputi metode dokumentasi, tes tertulis, dan angket. Data dianalisis menggunakan uji proporsi satu pihak, uji rata-rata satu pihak, uji perbedaan dua proporsi, uji perbedaan dua rata-rata, dan analisis regresi. Dari hasil penelitian disimpulkan bahwa model pembelajaran tutor sebaya bernuansa etnomatematika efektif terhadap kemampuan pemecahan masalah peserta didik pada materi segiempat
This research was conducted to five tutor teachers in the differences of Islamic Junior High School which the Islamic Junior High School consists of MTs Nurul Islam, MTs Muhammadiyah 2, MTs ...Babussallam , MTs Ibnu Katsir and MTsn 1 Kota Banjarmasin. The subject of this research is five English teachers of the differences school in the Shouthern Banjarmasin district. The object of the research is Tutor Teacher Assessment toward English Pre Service Teachers Competence in Teaching Practice at Islamic Junior High School. To collect the data, the writer uses the techniques such as questionnaire and interview. All the data analyzed using a descriptive qualitative method. The result of this research indicates that the tutor teachers used APKG2 to assess English pre service teacher in teaching practice which consists of eight basic teaching skills. It can be seen from the results of the questionnaire and interview. In the questionnaire found that the high sore mean results about 54% with the tutor teacher answer always so that it is concluded that tutor teachers always use APKG2 guideline to assess English pre service teacher in teaching practice with the aspect assessed is eight type the basic teaching skills.
In the 21st century, the demand for teaching and learning mediated by digital technology, especially suited to learning profiles, has grown. Thus, considering the need to discuss the adaptability ...capacity of Intelligent Tutoring Systems (ITS), this text aims to understand how these systems perform the adaptability of content and activities to different user learning profiles. To achieve this, an essay was used, derived from part of the theoretical framework of a bibliographic research, carried out from the databases of the free journals portal of the Coordination for the Improvement of Higher Education Personnel (CAPES), of the journals Scientific Electronic Library Online (SCIELO) and Google Scholar. As a result, it was observed that Computer-Assisted Instruction is carried out from instructional activities, generally structured in questions and answers. On the other hand, microworld systems advanced in the proposition of cognitive abilities and reflective thinking. While generative systems are able to produce instructional material automatically, despite solving problems in a way very different from what people use to solve them. Whereas Computer-Assisted IntelligentInstruction systems are able to offer the user an intelligent tutoring. Finally, the concept of personalized education and its founding principles, proposed by Hoz (1988), are presented as a theoretical framework that can contribute to the work of ITS developers seeking to expand the capacity of these computer systems to adapt teaching to the learning profile of each user.
No Século XXI, cresceu a demanda por ensino e aprendizagem mediados por tecnologia digital, especialmente adequados aos perfis de aprendizagem. Assim, considerando a necessidade de discutir sobre a capacidade de adaptabilidade dos Sistemas Tutores Inteligentes (STI), este texto tem o objetivo de compreender como esses sistemas realizam a adaptabilidade de conteúdos e atividades aos diferentes perfis de aprendizagem do usuário. Para alcançá-lo, recorreu-se a um ensaio, derivado de parte do referencial teórico de uma pesquisa bibliográfica, realizada a partir das bases de dados do portal de periódicos livres da Coordenação de Aperfeiçoamento de Pessoal de Nível Superior (CAPES), dos periódicos científicos da Scientific Electronic Library Online(SCIELO) e do Google Acadêmico. Como resultado, observou-se que a Instrução Assistida por Computador se realiza a partir de atividades instrucionais, geralmente estruturadas em perguntas e respostas. Por outro lado, os sistemas micromundos avançaram na proposição de habilidades cognitivas e do pensamento reflexivo. Enquanto os sistemas generativos são capazes de produzir material instrucional automaticamente, apesar de solucionarem os problemas de um modo muito distinto daquele que as pessoas utilizam para resolvê-los. Aopasso em que os sistemas de Instrução Inteligente Assistida por Computador sãocapazes de oferecer para o usuário uma tutoria inteligente. Por último, apresenta-se o conceito de educação personalizada e seus princípios fundantes, propostos por Hoz (1988),como um referencial teórico que pode contribuir com o trabalho dos desenvolvedores de STI em busca de ampliar a capacidade desses sistemas informáticos de adaptar o ensino ao perfil de aprendizagem de cada usuário.
En el siglo XXI ha crecido la demanda de enseñanza y aprendizaje mediada por la tecnología digital, especialmente adaptada a los perfiles de aprendizaje. Así, considerando la necesidad de discutir la capacidad de adaptabilidad de los Sistemas de Tutoría Inteligente (ITS), este texto tiene como objetivo comprender cómo estos sistemas realizan la adaptabilidad de contenidos y actividades a los diferentes perfiles de aprendizaje de los usuarios. Para lograr este objetivo, se utilizó un ensayo, derivado de parte del marco teórico de una investigación bibliográfica, realizado a partir de las bases de datos del portal de revistas gratuitas de la Coordinación para la Perfeccionamiento del Personal de Educación Superior (CAPES), de las revistas Scientific Electronic Library Online (SCIELO) y Google Scholar. Como resultado, se observó que la InstrucciónAuxiliado por Computadorse realiza a partir de actividades instruccionales, generalmente estructuradas en preguntas y respuestas. Das LIFE-Programm an Brennpunktschulen in El Salvador bringt Studierende und Schüler:innen der Klassen 8 und 9 zusammen für einen Workshop zu Teamarbeit, Unternehmertum und Handlungsplanung. ...Peergestütztes Lernen kommt mehrfach zum Einsatz. Sowohl die Studierenden als auch die Schüler:innen arbeiten in Teams. Zusätzlich nehmen die Studierenden für die Schüler:innen die Rolle von Tutor:innen ein. Der pädagogische Doppeldecker spielt eine zentrale Rolle. Beide Gruppen von Lernenden erleben und reflektieren im Programm die sozialen Lerninhalte, mit denen sie sich auch theoretisch auseinandersetzen. Die sozialen Lerninhalte werden mit fachlichen Lerninhalten (Unternehmertum) verzahnt. Das Programm wurde mit einem Mixed-Methods-Design evaluiert. Fokusgruppen-Interviews mit beiden Gruppen und die Lerntagebücher der Studierenden geben Aufschluss darüber, wie die Lernenden das Programm wahrgenommen haben. Es zeigt sich, dass den unterschiedlichen Teilnehmenden persönlich relevante Lernprozesse ermöglicht werden konnten. (DIPF/Orig.)
The objective of this research is to analyze the knowledge sharing process between professionals within and between sectors of a private HEI in the distance learning modality. This study is of an ...applied nature with a quantitative approach through descriptive-exploratory research in HEI case study. Data collection was through an online questionnaire, 77 respondents from a population with 96 tutors, allowing 98% confidence in the analysis with 5% sampling error. This research allows us to present an overview of the processes of communication and knowledge sharing existing in the HEI case study, identifying that tutors must be in synergy with professionals from other sectors so that students can complete their assessment activities in an appropriate manner, such as also allow the refinement of pedagogical activities of the subjects.
O objetivo desta pesquisa é analisar o processo de compartilhamento do conhecimento entre profissionais intra e entre-setores de uma IES privada na modalidade EaD. Este estudo de caso é de natureza aplicada com abordagem quantitativa através de pesquisa descritiva-exploratória em IES. A coleta de dados foi através de questionário online, 77 respondentes de uma população com 96 tutores, possibilitando 98% de confiança na análise com 5% de erro amostral. Esta pesquisa permite apresentar um panorama sobre os processos de comunicação e compartilhamento do conhecimento existentes na IES em estudo, identificando que os tutores devem estar em sinergia com os profissionais dos outros setores para que os alunos possam finalizar suas atividades avaliativas de forma adequada, como também permitir refinar atividades pedagógicas das disciplinas.
El objetivo de esta investigación es analizar el proceso de intercambio de conocimiento entre profesionales dentro y entre sectores de una IES privada en la modalidad de educación a distancia. Este estudio es de carácter aplicado con enfoque cuantitativo a través de investigación descriptiva-exploratoria en estudio de caso de IES. La recolección de datos fue a través de un cuestionario en línea, 77 encuestados de una población con 96 tutores, lo que permitió un 98% de confianza en el análisis con un error de muestreo del 5%. Esta investigación nos permite presentar un panorama de los procesos de comunicación e intercambio de conocimiento existentes en el caso de estudio de la IES, identificando que los tutores deben estar en sinergia con profesionales de otros sectores para que los estudiantes puedan completar sus actividades de evaluación de manera adecuada, como También permiten el refinamiento de las actividades pedagógicas de las asignaturas.
