Unlike design basis accidents, some inherent uncertainties of the reliability of instrumentations are expected while subject to harsh environments (e.g., high temperature and pressure, high humidity, ...and radioactivity) occurring in severe nuclear accident conditions. By these conditions, instrumentations have had the bad situation as a station blackout (SBO) as the severe accident like Fukushima Daiichi nuclear disaster. In recent years, there has been an increasing interest in wireless power transfer technology, in particular, significant processing has been charted for inductively coupled systems. In this paper, we introduce some new method as transfer effect ratio of loosely coupled coils for wireless power through the container building (CB) wall as an alternative method under a station blackout of severe accident conditions in nuclear power plants. As a result, it can be shown an equivalent circuit model that can describe wireless energy transfer systems via coupled magnetic resonances for thickness wall of the container building using a simulation code.

Precipitates formed due to Fe(II)-oxidation catalysed by Acidithiobacillus ferrooxidans between pH 1.6 and 3.2 have been studied by powder X-ray diffraction, infrared spectroscopy and Mössbauer ...spectroscopy. The precipitates consist of well crystalline, ammonium-containing jarosite at pH 1.6, and mixtures of jarosite and poorly crystalline schwertmannite at pH 2.5 and 3.2. At low temperatures (10 and 20 K) the components of the two phases overlap strongly. Jarosites ordered (c. 45 K – defect antiferromagnetic) at temperatures well below the ordering temperature for schwertmannite (c. 80 K at pH 3.2 and c. 70 K at pH 2.5). Thus thermoscans measured between 100 and 10 K facilitates characterization of these two minerals when occurring in mixtures.

► HPLC method was developed to assess the quality of cinnamon bark and twig. ► Seven bioactive components including cinnamic acid were separated and quantified. ► Fingerprint analysis was carried out ...to discriminate cinnamon bark from twig. ► Partial least-squares discriminant analysis showed good classification.
A simple and efficient HPLC method was developed to evaluate the quality of traditional herbal medicines made from cinnamon bark (CB) and cinnamon twig (CT). Seven major bioactive ingredients in 56 samples (24 CB and 32 CT) collected from China, Vietnam, and Indonesia were separated and quantified. The method was validated following the International Conference on Harmonisation (ICH) guidelines. A fingerprint analysis method to discriminate between CB and CT using major component content levels was developed. The discrimination process included the use of similarity indices and partial least-squares discriminant analysis (PLS-DA). Classification accuracy by the PLS-DA method was about 98%. The pattern analysis method was specific and could be readily used for the comprehensive evaluation of cinnamon samples. Therefore, an HPLC fingerprint in combination with pattern analysis provides a very flexible and reliable method for quality assessment of herbal drugs.
A new mission needs new or adapted equipment. Being necessary to operate more and more frequently in warm climates and considering the new requirements for chemical and biological (CB) protective ...suits, it was necessary to study new materials and concepts of operation for the existing CB air permeable suits. The paper presents the new requirements for reduced thermal burden protective suits, the tools for the evaluation of thermal burden and also some results of the conducted researches. The experimental results led us to a new concept in designing a suit for CB protection and also to produce a prototype batch.
In order to improve the electro-conductibility of new energy storage material-manganese carbonate(MnCO3) and the properties apply to supercapacitors, we produce MnCO3/CB composite at room temperature ...by using a simple and mild liquid phase deposition method. Using dilute HNO3 to purify and activate the CB(carbon black), then put the handled CB into NH4HCO3/MnSO4 mixed solution for liquid deposition. Observed through infrared and XPS methods, we found that - after purified by dilute HNO3, the negatively charged groups(carboxyl & quinonyl) on CB surface increase, which makes CB uneasy to reunite in water and benefits the producing of a homogeneous compound. Observed the compound under SEM:40nm diameter CB granules wrap the Lotus-shaped MnCO3 granule, and form a porous structure between MnCO3 granules. The result of electro-chemical properties indicated by galvanostatic charge-discharge tests shows that the specific capacity of MnCO3/CB composite electrode material is twice of the pure MnCO3 electrode material, while the MnCO3/CB composite has a good cycle capacitive retention ratio. As a newly discovered energy storage material, MnCO3 provides a new direction to make composite material for supercapacitor electrodes.
This research fabricates bipolar plates for direct methanol fuel cells (DMFC) to improve compressive strength and creep behaviour. The composites comprise of poly (methyl methacrylate) (PMMA), ...polyurethane (PU) and carbon black (CB) those were fabricated via bulk polymerization in a casting process. The technique can create semi-interpenetrating polymer networks (IPNs) between PMMA and PU. The composites were prepared in different weight ratios PMMA/PU/CB of 75/25_5phr, 80/20_5phr and 85/15_5phr, and their quantity of IPNs in the composites are 99.27%, 97.77% and 96.71% respectively. In terms of compressive strength values, they achieve the requirement for commercial bipolar plates which are around 60MPa, and a total creep value is approximately 0.23% at 120minutes, 1kPa and 80oC. The surface and volume electrical conductivity values incorporating 5 wt% of CB are 4.25x10-7 Scm-1 and 2.05x10-6 Scm-1 respectively. The developed composite material has a suitable combination of mechanical properties and processability for DMFC bipolar plate applications.
