    We researched the work of the important Lower Styrian scientist Tirnberger (1731-1780). Until the suppression of the Jesuit order he held the most sophisticated pedagogical and scientific positions ... in monarchy. He colaborated with Hell, the most important Habsburg astronomer of his time. As the supreme specialist Tirnberger lectured on physical sciences at the new prestigious Miners academy at Schemnitz. He published his data about weather and Aurora Borealis in a special booklet
