    Providing psychotherapy to migrants in mental health care settings presents particular challenges to the interpreters involved. The complexity of interpreting in mental health care settings requires ... intetpreters to have a wide range of expertise, including specialist knowledge in the field of psychotherapy. The aim of this paper is to highlight a number of factors that are relevant to interpreting within the therapy triad and to present the results of an empirical stutfy among six intetpreters in Graz. The study focuses on the extent to which interpreters are aware of the complexity of their work, of the multiple roles they play in mental health settings and how they cope with emotionaly charged situations.
