    Human factors are receiving increasing attention from software developers. Thepaper will present some of the reasons for the popularity of WIMP interfaces among users. Whilewaiting for a solution, ... that would bring a standard user interface over a range of different computers, software developers must decide, weather to implement one on the ready to use WIMP libraries or to invest some time and effort into developing a proprietary solution. We have found out that a usable minimal WIMP configuration can be developed in a relatively short time and can, despite its limitations, provide advantages over third party libraries
