  • Žilavost vibriranih večvarkovnih zvarnih spojev
    Pučko, Bogdan
Vibration of welded parts is usually applied to achieve effects similar to those in residual stress relieving. With vibration not only resudual stresses but also other properties can be affected. ... Using two different welding processes the influence of vibration on weld toughness was measured. The difference between the two series was in performing welding without or with vibration. Toughness measurements showed an increase in notch impact toughness and a significant increase in fracture toughness of the multipass welds vibrated during welding. Vibration during welding exhibits positive effects on the microstructure, which affects weld toughness. Vibration during welding was rated more effective in case of multi-pass welding than in case of single-pass welding.
