  • Development of controlling and information support by means of an optimisation model - an example of timber sawing

    Modern approaches to business process management ascribe an increasingly more important role to the controlling process. Controlling is a management function with a special emphasis placed on the ... responsibility for the development of methods and models for assessing the situations and foretellingfuture developments. Another major task of controlling is also the development of the required information support. The example of a sawmill is used to demonstrate the application of optimisation models in the defining of information support for business processes. The development of indicators fromthe data structure of the model clearly reflects the structure of information support and its comprehensiveness.
