연구목적 본 연구는 신중년을 대상으로 한 문화예술교육 프로그램에 참여한 경험을 탐구한 셀프연구 이다. 이를 위해 나는 연구자이자 참여자로서 6개월간 한 개인이 경험한 생애전환 문화예술교육의 현상, 참여과정, 관계 및 맥락을 ‘나’ 중심으로 기술하였다. 연구방법 연구 기간은 2021년 7월부터 12월까지 약 6개월간 이루어졌다. 자료 수집은 연구자가 작성한 일지, 활동 계획서, 활동보고서, 사진, 문서, 대화 자료를 수집하였다. 자료 분석은 내용분석과 범주분석을 하여 이야기로 구성하였다. 결과 첫째, 신중년 전환학습에 반 발 내딛은 나의 경험을 시간적 과정에 따라 지원 시기, 예비학교 참가에 대한 이야기이다. 둘째, 나의 생애전환 문화예술교육 프로그램에 참가한 전환적 경험에 대한 당사자 이야기이다. 계획과 실행의 큰 차이로 인한 충격에서 벗어나기 위해 자기 명상, 침묵하며 말하기를 통해 다른 사람과 소통하며 신중년의 자기 발견의 내용을 마음열기, 연결하기로 해석하였다. 결론 생애전환 문화예술교육은 만남을 이어가는 교육일 때 가치가 있으며, 이를 위해서는 문화예술 향유 프로그램으로 접근하려는 것에서 벗어나야 한다. 신중년은 자신의 삶을 자동사로 전환하고자 할 때 가능하다. Purpose This paper is a self-research that explores the experiences of participating in cultural arts education programs for middle aged. I described the phenomenon, participation process, relationship, and context of culture and arts education experienced by an individual as a researcher and participant for six months, focusing on ‘I’. The study period was about 6 months 2021. Methods Data collection were collected journal, activity plan, activity report, photo, document, and conversation data and data analysis consisted of a story through content and category analysis. Result First, the story of the application period and participation in the orientation according to process of my experience of taking steps against transition learning in middle age. Second, it is the story of the person concerned about the transitional experience of participating in my life changing culture and arts education program. In order to escape the shock caused by the big difference between planning and operation, I interpreted the contents of the self-discovery of open up and connect with others by communicating with others through self-meditation and speaking in silence. Finally, life transition culture and arts education is valuable when it is an education that continues to meet. Conclusion A new middle age is possible when I want to turn my life into an automatism.
