Purpose/Significance It is the requirement of the present times to build an independent knowledge system of evidence-based digital humanistic paradigm with Chinese characteristics. Method/Process Based on the World 3 theory developed by Popper, this study defines the essence of digital humanities research as representing, revealing and reproducing the structure of the objective knowledge world.
