Taking the municipality of Sevnica as a case study, the article focuses on the secular immovable heritage of this area. The detailed presentation of the existing condition of the so-called ethnological cultural heritage, which includes farmer's residence buildings, outbuildings, hayracks, granaries, mills, and vineyard cottages, and of the procedures necessary for its conservation, illustrate the work tasks of an ethnologist/conservator. They entail registration, documenting, valuation, and conservation of ethnological architectural heritage. PUBLICATION ABSTRACT
