Based on the China governmental statistical data of the book publishing which are collected according to the authors, this report describes the change of the number of titles and the amount of printed copies of books (including new-edition books, reprinted books, permitted-to-print books, and children’s books) published in 2018, outlines the average prices of several types of books, analyzes the bibliography of the general books with one million and more annual printed copies, reviews the performance of the book publishing at the levels of industry, groups, and listed companies respectively, concludes that 2018 is the year continuing the changes which began in 2017, meanwhile with several noteworthy differences from the previous years.
