Comentarios reales (1964), el poemario de Antonio Cisneros, y el en-sayo-novela Poderes secretos (1995), de Miguel Gutiérrez, se proponen «revisar», «desmitificar», «desestabilizar» los discursos de y sobre el Inca Garcilaso. En el presente trabajo, analizo la manera en que ambos autores dialogan con estos discursos que, aun cuando se enfrenten y opongan, se inscriben en el mismo paradigma: el de la condición mestiza del Inca. Intentaré mostrar que el poeta Cisneros y el narrador Gutiérrez elaboran sus textos desde la confrontación, el cuestionamiento y la crítica tanto al hispanismo de la generación del 900, liderado por José de la Riva Agüero, como al antihispanismo de Luis E. Valcárcel, y luego, aun cuando son posteriores a la escritura del poemario de Cisneros, a los nuevos enfoques de los estudios literarios coloniales hispanoamericanos Comentarios reales (1964), the collection of poems by Antonio Cisner-os, and the essay-novel Poderes secretos (1995), by Miguel Gutiérrez, propose to “revise”, “demystify”, “destabilize” the discourses of and about Inca Garcilaso. In the present work I analyze the way in which both authors dialogue with these discours-es that, even when they confront and oppose each other, are inscribed in the same paradigm, that of the mestizo condition of the Inca. I will try to show that the poet Cisneros and the narrator Gutiérrez elaborate their texts from the confrontation, questioning and criticism of both the Hispanism of the Generation of 900 led by José de la Riva Agüero and the anti-Hispanism of Luis E. Valcárcel and then, even though they are later than the writing of Cisneros’s collection of poems, to the new approaches to Spanish-American colonial literary studies
