The Main Injector era of the Fermilab Tevatron has begun in earnest. The first collisions began in April of 2001, and after a year of final installation, commissioning, and calibration of the upgraded DØ detector, physics quality data is now being taken. We report on the status and operation of the detector and present a first look at the signals obtained in 5 pb −1 of physics quality data. The prospects for two of our key B physics measurements (sin2β and B s mixing) will also be discussed.
