With the acceleration of the process of carbon peak and carbon neutrality, renewable energy, mainly wind and solar power generation, has entered a new stage of development. In particular, the development of distributed photovoltaics is facing challenges such as large-scale development, high-level consumption, and ensuring the safe and reliable supply of electricity. Therefore, energy storage has become an important means to solve problems. To fully excavate the potential of onsite consumption of distributed photovoltaics, this paper studies energy storage configuration strategies for distributed photovoltaic to meat different needs based on the analysis results of power and electricity balance. Firstly, this paper analyzes the characteristics of distributed photovoltaics and various typical loads, and conducts a source load matching analysis. On this basis, the challenges posed by the large-scale development of distributed photovoltaics to the distribution network are analyzed. Furthermore, energy storage configuration strategies for distributed photovoltaic are studied for peak load demand, consumption demand, and suppression of reverse overload demand in the power grid. Finally, typical examples are selected for analysis and verification.
