Andrzej Wajda's film "Wielki tydzien (Holy Week)" based on Jerzy Andrzejewski's novella by the same title, addresses the measure of religion's worth in its ability to promote love of neighbor, particularly that of Polish Catholics and Jews. The film confronts the Western belief that Poles are essentially anti-Semitic.
