This paper represents the contribution to the knowledge on business activities of mining-metallurgical combine 'Trepča' during the first decade after WWII. In the first several years of that period the biggest problems in the production and business activities of 'Trepča' were caused by the insufficient and bad infrastructure, and the lack of raw materials for renewal and exploitationproc4ess as well. The combine's administration the reason for non-realization of renewal bad production plans found in the deadline failure by the co-operative enterprises. Working conditions in the first after war years in the mines of 'Trepča' were extremely bad. Until 1951 a great deal of work was performed manually. There were not enough tools, machines, drills, dredgers. A great problem represented the lack of spare parts for tools and machines. The production was mostly based on numerous workers. The lack of tools and mechanization were to be compensated by a great number of working hours and numerous workers. By the time and thanks to the growing production, the need for qualified workers and engineers increased. On the other hand, a problem of the extra employed workers appeared on working post which did not require educated cadre, with the exception on working posts in cave's works, smelter and refinery. Combine tried to settle the problem of bad educating structure of the employed by the foundation of worker's universities. In the combine 'Trepča' the Working Council from 1950 has existed. In the first five years of the existence of Working Council its activities were characterized by mostly improvised work - improvement of activities by the corrections on passing by basis. It took a little time for all members of the Council to persuade themselves in real and allowed power and competence of the Council. Thanks to, first of all, demand on world market and competitiveness of its products price, 'Trepča' became one of the most important exporters in Yugoslavia until the middle of the 1950s.
