Der Beitrag stellt die Frage, ob der von Stephen Greenblatt begründete Forschungsstil des New Historicism Anschlussmöglichkeiten für die ideengeschichtliche Forschung in der Erziehungswissenschaft bietet. Hierzu werden zentrale methodologische Annahmen erläutert, forschungspraktische Anwendungen diskutiert und theoretisch-methodische Probleme, Grenzen und Herausforderungen des Ansatzes aufgezeigt. This article raises the question of whether the research style of New Historicism, founded by Stephen Greenblatt, offers possibilities for research in the intellectual history of pedagogy and education. For this purpose, the article points out central methodological assumptions, discusses examples of application and shows theoretical-methodological problems, limits and challenges of the approach.
