    Objective In order to improve the ability of clinical teachers in standardized training program of emergency residents Peking Union Medical College Hospital (PUMCH) design and run an immersive course in teacher training program. The study aims to investigate the effects of the training course. Methods Totally 34 trainees who were emergency clinical teachers accepted the immersive course training focus on clinical rounds and bedside teaching skills. The courses included curriculum design procedure,assessment tool,teacher-student interaction skills and bedside teaching methods. Questionnaire of pre-course, post-course immediately, and 3-month post-course were collected among the trainees. Non-parametric Kruskal-Wailis H test and U test were used to assess effects of the training. Results All trainees reported an increase in ability and confidence in teaching skills, especially significant in improving teacher-student interaction skills and significant increase in confidence in bedside teaching(P<0.05).
