Results of the research on the use of orthophoto (DOF5) are represented, obtained by questionnaires that were sent to registered buyers of orthophoto in Slovenia at the end of 2005. The aim of the research was to find out, how often and for what purposes the orthophoto is being used, and especially, what is the opinion of the users about its quality and applicability for their work. As much as 96 % of the questioned population estimated the general quality of orthophoto with regard to their needs as »very good«. The nvestigation has shown also some deficiency of the product and a wish of the users for a new product of larger scale. The knowlege on the product was tested in the questionnaire as well and the results have shown that not all users have been informed sufficiently on the features of the product, thus additional education and/or information on this would be advantageous.
