The Rams and Lady Rams completed dual matches against Clovis suspended by rain and lightning last week, with the Rams winning 7- 2 and the Lady Rams posting a 9-0 shutout. Portales was slated to leave early this morning for Lovington and the start of District 4-3A individual competition. Saturday, the Rams and Lady Rams return to Lovington for district team tournaments. Wade Fraze said Kyle Adams and Matt Tucker played well in a 6-0, 6-3 win over Jason Roberts and Andy North at No. 1 doubles while Colton Stanton, who has only recently been elevated to the varsity, continues to play well.
