    In the context of the planned construction of the Corridor V/c highway through Bosnia and Herzegovina Centre for Balkan Studies of the ANUBiH has madethe beforehand identification of the endangered ... archaeological monuments in the construction zone of the highway. Identification of those monuments has been made in the first half of 2009 in the frame of the project "Orientation archaeological research on the alignment of the Corridor V/c through the Federation of BiH", financed by the Federal Ministry of Science and Education. According to the methodology of archeological work, such identification represents first step and inevitable base for the further actions in the range of the protection of the endangered cultural heritage. Identification of the sites has been made upon the studies of the existing documentation from the archaeological archives, and upon the areal-photo layers 1:5 000 and 1:25 000 which are constituent part of the highway alignment documentation. In this term, it was possible to determine and identify prehistoric hill-top settlements, stone and earth burial mounds, necropolis of stecci, and wide river terraces which were suitable for the population in the early prehistoric periods. Within the four sections of the highway in the Bosnia and Herzegovina, in the length of 330 km (LOT 1-4), have been identified 228 archaeological monuments that need an indispensable intervention before the start of the construction works...
