Fast transient stability assesment using corrective PEBS method

A reliable and accurate direct procedure for fast transient stability assessment is being proposed. Its main idea lies in the correction of the well known and practically very useful Potential Energy ...Boundary Surface method. Namely, the main problem of all the existing direct methods is a correct critica value of the Lyapuov function (system operation) determination, resulting from the non- linear power system and different fault locations. After the fault critical clearing (CCT) estimation by the PEBS method, the direction of the post-fault system traject ory is being observed and decision is being made about the correct CCT assessment.
