Die doppelte Perspektive in den slowenischen Übersetzungen von Phraseologie im Roman Emil und die Detektive von Erich Kästner [Elektronski vir]

The paper discusses phraseological units in the children's book Emil und die Detektive by the German writer Erich Kästner and their translations into Slovene. The two translations were made by two ...different translators. The first translation was published in 1937, and the second came out in 1968. In the first part, different phraseological units are shown in the original and in both translations and it was established that partly idiomatic phraseological units dominate. The second part presents the results of some examples of translated phraseological units in relation to the fact that in the older translation, the phraseological units were added although there were no phraseological units in the original. The results point to a metaphorical translation. In the third part, the two Slovenian translations are compared and the differences in the morphosyntax, in the lexiacal inventory and in the figurative language were found. The author tried to show the different perspectives in two different translations, perspectives which are inherent in the fact that adult translators bring to the translation their own reading experience as well as imagery from the childhood.
