Instruments for testing of safety of electrical instalations are often calibrated in our laboratory. One of the critical items for that calibration is also a validated reference line (or mains). The ...validation of the reference line is performed by measuring the voltage of loaded and unloaded reference line output. From the voltage difference the impredance of the reference line is calculated. The problem is that the load used can never be resistive only but it also has its inductive or capacitive part that has to bedetermined.
