    Kolaček, Sanja
Coeliac disease, recently defined as an autoimmune disorder, is a permanent intolerance to ingested gluten that results in immunologically mediated inflammatory damage to the small-intestinal mucosa. ... Screenings and active case-findings have proven that it is by no means rare, on the contrary it is one of the most common chronic disorder with a prevalence of 1:200 to 1:400. It was also proven that many patients present either atypically or with a silent clinical picture, and that coeliac disease is associated with different, mostly autoimmune disorders. Aim of this paper is to present different possible atypical symptoms and complications, with a special emphasis on associated disorders.
