    Owing to the extremely high rate of suicidality in Slovenia it is not possibleto avoid this phenomenon even in Slovene elementary and secondary schools. If autodestructive behaviour among youth is to ... be reduced, it is necessary to spread the basic knowledge about suicide prevention also in school environment-among pupils and secondary level schoolchildren and among teachers and parents. The adults as well as the young must be able to recognize the most important and expressed signs of emotions and behaviour which can help to identify and properly and timely react to depressive or suicidal child and adolescent. Article describes foreign and national experiences of how to senzitive the teachers and school advisory organs in order to timely identify and adequately react to a child in distress.
