  • Diferencialna diagnostika in zdravljenje Rozacee = Differential diagnosis and therapy of Rosacea

    Rosacea is a common chronic inflammatory dermatosis, usually affecting the face. Many factors contributing to the disease have been described, but the exact cause remains unknown. Diagnosis is based ... on history and clinical data. Over its course the disease produces a variety of clinical presentations, which could also vary due to inappropriate treatment. Therefore, the differential diagnosis is rather diverse and establishing the correct diagnosis is sometimes difficult. The use of so-called "diagnostic clues" could be of great help in certain diagnostic dilemmas. There is no definitive cure for rosacea, but with the use of different therapeutic modalities, a rather good control of the disease might be achieved. Appropriate skin care, avoidance of provocative factors, well-chosen topical and systemic treatment, along with good information and education of the patient, are the key points in yielding satisfactory therapeutic results.
