  • Vpliv hrupa na razpoložljivost delavcev v novih tehnoloških okoljih

Noise can have an important influence on psychic functions, the perception of information, its processing and on decision-making. These functions are affected by the levels of noise that are below ... the values defined as being harmful to health. The efficiency of cognitively demanding tasks decreases significantly in a noisy environment. This is proved by several studies carried out in working environments and by the investigations into the influence of environmental noise on the ability of children to learn how to read and write, which are two extremely difficult tasks. Workers in ocean rooms are required to perform cognitively relatively demanding tasks, which ismade difficult due to annoying noise of telephones, computers and co-workers. The results of the analysis of the availability of these workers show that in comparison with workers who perform cognitively similar tasks in ordinary offices they feel worse, their motivation is much lower and they believe they are more overloaded. It is therefore necessary to reduce the level of noise in the working environment to maintain suitable availability ofworkers in ocean rooms. Some measures which have already proved efficient have been proposed.
