    Molluscs are known to record environmental changes in their carbonate shells. This paper reports the analysis of stable oxygen and carbon isotopic composition of selected mollusc shell carbonates ... from the evaporitic environment of Makirina Bay, the coastal part of the Murter Sea and in Pirovac Bay characterized by a fresh water inflow from Vrana Lake. Our findings reveal that the molluscs investigated precipitated shell carbonates mostly during the warmer period in isotopic equilibrium with oxygen and dissolved inorganic carbon from ambient seawater.
