    Speech disorders appear quite often in children. Speech development can he disturbed for many different reasons. Dysphonia and articulation, disorders, which are the commonest, can have an organic or ... a functional cause. Stutteringappears as a result of central nervous disorder and psychological prohlems. Speech disorders which results from lesions on the centers in the central nervous system are rare in children. In diagnosing these disorders, a phoniatrician has an important role, hut his cooperation with other specialitis is also necessary. In the therapy of speech disorders, a speech and language therapist and a psychologist have key roles.
