    Uroneurophysiological diagnostic tests including electromyography, motor evoked potentials, somatosensory evoked potentials, sacral reflexes and the sympathetic skin response are described and their ... place in diagnosis of sacralneuromuscular involvement in children is discussed. These tests should always supplement a detailed clinical examination, helping in diagnosing a lesion in a child with suspected neurogenic sacral dysfunction. In a child with a known neurogenic sacral dysfunction the tests can provide more details regarding the involvement of the sacral neuromuscular system. Concentric needle EMG of pelvic floor muscles, recording of sacral reflex responses and several somatosensory evoked responses on electrical and mechanical stimulation in the perineum are suggested as routine tests. Motor evoked potentials recordings and sympathetic skin responses have not yet been introduced into uroneurophysiological evaluation of children.
