Abstract
High precision CCD observations of six totally eclipsing contact binaries were presented and analyzed. It is found that only one target is an A-type contact binary (V429 Cam), while the ...others are W-type contact ones. By analyzing the times of light minima, we discovered that two of them exhibit secular period increase while three manifest long-term period decrease. For V1033 Her, a cyclic variation superimposed on the long-term increase was discovered. By comparing the Gaia distances with those calculated by the absolute parameters of 173 contact binaries, we found that the Gaia distance can be applied to estimate the absolute parameters for most contact binaries. The absolute parameters of our six targets were estimated using their Gaia distances. The evolutionary status of contact binaries was studied, and we found that the A- and W-subtype contact binaries may have different formation channels. The relationship between the spectroscopic and photometric mass ratios for 101 contact binaries was presented. It was discovered that the photometric mass ratios are in good agreement with the spectroscopic ones for almost all of the totally eclipsing systems, which is corresponding to the results derived by Pribulla et al. and Terrell & Wilson.
Abstract
The 2019 novel coronavirus (2019-nCoV) appeared in December 2019 and then spread throughout the world rapidly. The virus invades the target cell by binding to angiotensin-converting enzyme ...(ACE) 2 and modulates the expression of ACE2 in host cells. ACE2, a pivotal component of the renin-angiotensin system, exerts its physiological functions by modulating the levels of angiotensin II (Ang II) and Ang-(1-7). We reviewed the literature that reported the distribution and function of ACE2 in the female reproductive system, hoping to clarify the potential harm of 2019-nCoV to female fertility. The available evidence suggests that ACE2 is widely expressed in the ovary, uterus, vagina and placenta. Therefore, we believe that apart from droplets and contact transmission, the possibility of mother-to-child and sexual transmission also exists. Ang II, ACE2 and Ang-(1-7) regulate follicle development and ovulation, modulate luteal angiogenesis and degeneration, and also influence the regular changes in endometrial tissue and embryo development. Taking these functions into account, 2019-nCoV may disturb the female reproductive functions through regulating ACE2.
•Prepare heterojunction structures.•Ag2O can be deposited on the inside and outside surfaces of TiO2.•RhB can be degraded into water in 80 minutes.•The heterojunction structures accelerates electron ...transfer.
In order to solve the most difficult organic matter pollution in the water pollution problem, we successfully prepared a sample Ag2O/TiO2 heterojunction nanocomposite material using a two-step method, and used this material to test the degradation of rhodamine B (RhB). Compared with pure Ag2O and pure TiO2, Ag2O/TiO2 composites have improved degradation rate of RhB and enhanced photocatalytic activity under ultraviolet and visible light irradiation. Through SEM, UV–visible diffuse reflection, XPS and other characterizations, it can be seen that Ag2O nanoparticles are deposited on the inner and outer surfaces of TiO2 nanotubes, the absorption range of the sample has been significantly widened, and the heterojunction structure has been successfully constructed. These conclusions have a positive effect on the photocatalytic degradation of the sample.

Early inflammatory responses after myocardial infarction (MI) are likely to increase myocardial fibrosis and subsequent cardiac remodeling. MCC950, a specific NLRP3 inhibitor, was ...previously found to effectively inhibit the release of inflammatory factors IL-18 and IL-1β. In this study, we evaluated the effect of MCC950, as a potential new treatment strategy for MI, on myocardial fibrosis and cardiac remodeling using an experimental mouse model.
Male C57BL/6 mice were subjected to left coronary artery ligation to induce MI and then treated with MCC950 (10 mg/kg) or PBS for 14 days. After 30 days, echocardiography was performed to assess cardiac function and myocardial fibrosis was evaluated using H&E- and Masson's Trichrome-stained sections. Myocardial expression of inflammatory factors and fibrosis markers was analyzed by western blotting, immunofluorescence, ELISA, and real-time quantitative PCR.
The ejection fraction in the 10 mg/kg group (40.7 ± 4.2%; N = 6, p = 0.0029) was statistically preserved compared to that in the control group (14.0 ± 4.4%). Myocardial fibrosis was also reduced in MCC950-treated animals (MCC950, 23.2 ± 3.0 vs PBS, 36.2 ± 3.7; p < 0.05). Moreover, myocardial NLRP3, cleaved IL-1β, and IL-18 levels were reduced in MCC950-treated animals. H&E and molecular examination revealed decreases in inflammatory cell infiltration and inflammatory factor expression in the heart. In vitro, MCC950 inhibited NLRP3, reduced caspase-1 activity, and further downregulated IL-1β and IL-18.
MCC950, as a specific NLRP3 inhibitor, can alleviate fibrosis and improve cardiac function in a mouse model by suppressing early inflammatory responses post-MI.
•MI-induced inflammation leads to scar formation and infarct healing.•MCC950 is a inhibitors of the NLRP3 inflammasome.•MCC950, as a novel therapeutic agent for reducing myocardial fibrosis and improving myocardial remodeling after MI.
We investigate the quantum Cramer-Rao bounds on the joint multiple-parameter estimation with the Gaussian state as a probe. We derive the explicit right logarithmic derivative and symmetric ...logarithmic derivative operators in such a situation. We compute the corresponding quantum Fisher information matrices, and find that they can be fully expressed in terms of the mean displacement and covariance matrix of the Gaussian state. Finally, we give some examples to show the utility of our analytical results.
Particle swarm optimization (PSO) is a nature-inspired algorithm that has shown outstanding performance in solving many realistic problems. In the original PSO and most of its variants all particles ...are treated equally, overlooking the impact of structural heterogeneity on individual behavior. Here we employ complex networks to represent the population structure of swarms and propose a selectively-informed PSO (SIPSO), in which the particles choose different learning strategies based on their connections: a densely-connected hub particle gets full information from all of its neighbors while a non-hub particle with few connections can only follow a single yet best-performed neighbor. Extensive numerical experiments on widely-used benchmark functions show that our SIPSO algorithm remarkably outperforms the PSO and its existing variants in success rate, solution quality, and convergence speed. We also explore the evolution process from a microscopic point of view, leading to the discovery of different roles that the particles play in optimization. The hub particles guide the optimization process towards correct directions while the non-hub particles maintain the necessary population diversity, resulting in the optimum overall performance of SIPSO. These findings deepen our understanding of swarm intelligence and may shed light on the underlying mechanism of information exchange in natural swarm and flocking behaviors.
When an oilfield is developed with a polymer drive, the injected polymer will play a role in improving the already formed dominant channel between oil and water wells, but after the polymer drive ...block is transferred to the subsequent water drive development, an inefficient circulation field of injected water will be formed between oil and water wells again. This paper mainly applies dynamic and static data, combined with dynamic analysis and adjustment and optimization software of high water-bearing oilfield, to identifying the dominant channel of subsequent water drive, actively take comprehensive management countermeasures, reasonably control the injection and recovery rate, control inefficient and ineffective injection and recovery, so as to improve the effect of subsequent water drive development.
A palladium-catalyzed dearomative diarylation of C2-deuterated or C2-nonsubstituted indoles through domino Heck/Suzuki coupling is established. Relying on electron-deficient phosphite ligand, side ...reactions including intermolecular Suzuki coupling and intramolecular C–D/H arylation are inhibited and a wide range of 2,3-diarylated indolines bearing vicinal tertiary stereocenters including deuterated ones are afforded in moderate to excellent yields (up to 94%) and excellent diastereoselectivities (>20:1). The catalyst loading can be lowered to 0.02 mol % at elevated temperature.
Delay tolerant networks (DTNs), are characterized by their difficulty in establishing end-to-end paths and and large message propagation delays. To control network overhead costs, reduce message ...delays, and improve delivery rates in DTNs, it is essential to not only delete messages that have reached their destination but also to more precisely determine appropriate relay nodes. Based on the above goals, this paper constructs a multi-copy relay node selection router algorithm based on Q-lambda reinforcement learning with reference to the idea of community division (QLCR). In community division, if a node has the highestdegree, it is considered the core node, and nodes with similar interests and structural properties are divided into a community. Node degree refers to the number of nodes associated with the node, indicating its importance in the network. Structural similarity determines the distance between nodes. The selection of relay nodes considers node degree, interests, and structural similarity. The Q-lambda reinforcement learning algorithm enables each node to learn from the entire network, setting corresponding reward values based on encountered nodes meeting the specified conditions. Through iterative processes, the node with the most cumulative reward value is chosen as the final relay node. Experimental results demonstrate that the proposed algorithm achieves a high delivery rate while maintaining low network overhead and delay.
