We reported two cases of hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) with lung metastases who were treated with a combination of thalidomide and cyproheptadine. The use of cyproheptadine in these two cases was ...originally for skin itching. Follow-up CT images revealed a complete remission of HCC in both of them after treatment for 6 months and 6 weeks, respectively. A following experimental cell line study demonstrated that cyproheptadine effectively reduced the viability of two HCC cell lines.
Objective: This study aims to evaluate the impact and potential prognostic roles of the pre-and post-treatment Glasgow prognostic score(GPS) and the change thereof in patients with advanced head and ...neck cancer undergoing concurrent chemoradiotherapy(CCRT).Methods: We collected GPS and clinicopathological data of 139 stage III, IVA, and IVB head and neck cancer patients who underwent CCRT between 2008 and 2011. Their GPSs pre-and post-CCRT and the change thereof were analyzed for correlations with recurrence and survival. Results: The GPS changed in 72(51.8%) patients, with worse scores observed post-CCRT in 65(90.3%) of the GPS changed patients. Patients in the improved GPS group showed a tendency toward better survival. From the multivariate analysis, the post-CCRT GPS level was an independent prognostic factor in addition to tumor stage. Conclusions: After CCRT, a high GPS was revealed to be an important predictor of survival for advanced head and neck cancer.

Abstract
Facing the fast technological evolution and the fierce industrial competition, manufacturers are developing much more functions and specifications into their products ...beyond consumers’ actual needs. Market players pay extra in adopting the most advanced technologies while ignoring what the consumers require.
The objective of this research is providing a methodology to thoroughly investigating product characteristics and to better understanding how much the consumers are willing to pay for each product characteristic. This research also further analyzes the market segmentation according to geographic, demographic and behavior variables. Based on this research, market players would be able to develop more consumer-oriented marketing and R&D strategies.
Results of this research show that digital camera market can be broken down into smaller segments. The author finds out six product characteristics having significant relation with consumer’s favorable prices, including image quality

The purpose of this study is to investigate the collagen content, production rate, and eumelanin content on collagen extracted from silky fowl feet and feet skin by various acids. ...The collagen extracted from broiler feet by acetic acid as the contractor and measured collagens’ UV spectrum, anti-oxidation ability, moisture absorption rate, and melanin inhibition capability. The cream samples were made by the extracted collagen has the best measurement results. Among all creams spreading on the inner side of arms of volunteers, whose are between age 20 to 30-year-old, and measure skin surface hydration on normal or bring out dry skin and skin surface transepidermal water loss on normal skin.
The results showed that the collagen extracted by acetic acid and hydrochloric acid have significantly higher collagen contents (p<0.05), but there is no significant difference between extract sources, feet and feet skin. However, extraction of both using acetic acid and lactic acid have higher collagen

This article takes Foreign banks' branches in Taiwan during year 2007 to 2009 as the research subject and introduces data envelopment analysis (DEA) to evaluate the operating ...performances of business unit of banks to provide the reference for bank's managers in determining operation strategies about before the financial crisis and on then after.
The result indicates that, in overall technical efficiency, the case banks has many inefficient branches distinctly; only 36.36% banks can retain overall technical efficiency efficiently, and the pure technical efficiency of banks is 63.63%, which is probably because of scale reallocation too slow or such impact is huge on the asset-return, leading to the above result. The scale efficiency of the case banks during the sample period is 36.36%.
The Super-SBM shows 1 case bank has the amazing 68.73 efficiency among all others on 2007.
In the Malmquist index, by using BCG-matrix to make easier to look at the result and it shows only 1 bank can keep C

Research on Junior High School Students’ Body Composition and Blood Lipid
Abstract
The purpose of this study was to investigate the correlation among junior high school students’ ...body mass index (BMI), waist circumference (WC), waist-to-hip ratio (WHR), body fat, and blood lipid. There are 122 junior high school student voluntarily participated in this study. Height, body weight, waist, waist-to-hip and body fat are measured, Total cholesterol, triglyceride(TG), high-density lipoprotein, low-density lipoprotein, glucose and blood pressure were measured. Statistical methods: SPSS10.0 system, descriptive statistics, Person's correlation and one-way ANOVA test. Result:(1) High-density lipoprotein in the male and the female were 28.93 ± 8.80, 32.08 ± 10.27 mg/dl, respectively and the mean of these two groups is below the normal standard value . (2) The TG of the obese group is significantly higher than that of the normal and underweight group(81.82 ± 42.64 vs. 61.14 ± 23.49 and 56.27 ± 16.98 m

High-voltage transmission tower construction is a high-risk operation due to the construction site locations, extreme climatic factors, elevated working surfaces, and narrow ...working space. There is no any research about the physiological and psychological effects of high working surface staffs. This research aims towards the physiological and psychological effects of aerial works on high-voltage transmission tower construction workers, looking forwards to having some benefits for occupational injury prevention and job security.
The main purpose of this study is to understand how the different working surface height will affect the heart rate and heart rate variability for the high-voltage transmission tower construction workers, also to understand the workload and mental stress. Twelve experienced workers participated in this field experiment. The dependent variables namely, heart rate (HR), normalized low-frequency power (nLF), normalized high-frequency power (nHF), and LF-to-HF power r
