The decay J/ψ→γγϕ is studied using a sample of 1.31×109 J/ψ events collected with the BESIII detector. Two structures around 1475 MeV/c2 and 1835 MeV/c2 are observed in the γϕ invariant mass ...spectrum for the first time. With a fit on the γϕ invariant mass, which takes into account the interference between the two structures, and a simple analysis of the angular distribution, the structure around 1475 MeV/c2 is found to favor an assignment as the η(1475) and the mass and width for the structure around 1835 MeV/c2 are consistent with the X(1835). The statistical significances of the two structures are 13.5σ and 6.3σ, respectively. The results indicate that both η(1475) and X(1835) contain a sizeable ss¯ component.
We demonstrate a high-performance evanescently coupled photodiode (ECPD) with the partially p-doped photoabsorption layer. As compared to the control ECPD with the traditional intrinsic ...photoabsorption layer, the demonstrated device can exhibit much higher output saturation current (power) and electrical bandwidth without sacrificing the quantum efficiency performance. By properly designing the geometry size and epilayer structures of the partially p-doped ECPD, very high responsivity (1.01 A/W), high electrical bandwidth (around 50 GHz), and high saturation current bandwidth product (920 mA/spl middot/GHz, at 40 GHz) have been achieved simultaneously at 1.55-μm wavelength.
By analyzing a data sample corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 2.93 fb−1 collected at a center-of-mass energy of 3.773 GeV with the BESIII detector, we measure for the first time the ...absolute branching fraction of the D+ → ημ+νμ decay to be BD+→ημ+νμ = ( 10.4 ± 1.0stat ± 0.5syst) × 10−4. Using the world averaged value of BD+ → ηe+νe, the ratio of the two branching fractions is determined to be BD+ → ημ+νμ/BD+ → ηe+νe = 0.91 ± 0.13(stat+syst), which agrees with the theoretical expectation of lepton flavor universality within uncertainty. By studying the differential decay rates in five four-momentum transfer intervals, we obtain the product of the hadronic form factor f+η(0) and the c → d Cabibbo-Kobayashi-Maskawa matrix element |Vcd| to be fη+(0) |Vcd| = 0.087 ± 0.008stat ± 0.002syst. Taking the input of |Vcd| from the global fit in the standard model, we determine fη+(0) = 0.39 ± 0.04stat ± 0.01syst. On the other hand, using the value of fη+(0) calculated in theory, we find |Vcd| = 0.242 ± 0.022stat ± 0.00 6 syst ± 0.033theory.

Using a sample of (10.09±0.04)×10 9 J/ψ events collected with the BESIII detector, a partial wave analysis of J/ψ→γη′η′ is performed. The masses and widths of the observed resonances and their ...branching fractions are reported. The main contribution is from J/ψ→γf 0 (2020) with f 0 (2020)→η′η′, which is found with a significance of greater than 25σ. The product branching fraction B(J/ψ→γf 0 (2020))⋅B(f 0 (2020)→η′η′) is measured to be (2.63±0.06(stat.) +0.31 −0.46 (syst.))×10 −4 .
The equiaxed grain structure binary Al–Mg alloys with different Mg contents and grain sizes were fabricated by friction stir processing (FSP). The fine grain-structured Al–Mg alloy with high Mg ...content exhibited higher strength than other FSP alloys because of its higher grain boundary, dislocation, and solution-strengthening effects. The ductility of the equiaxed grain structure Al–Mg alloys also increased with increasing Mg content and decreasing grain size. The work hardening rate and stress distribution of the Al–Mg alloys during tensile process could be improved by the high amount of Mg solution atoms and fine equiaxed grain structure. Thus, the yield strength, ultimate strength, uniform elongation, and total elongation of the Al–6.8 Mg with fine equiaxed grain structure could reach 188 MPa, 341 MPa, 30%, and 35%, respectively.
•The strength and ductility of the FSP Al–Mg alloys increased with increasing Mg content and decreasing grain size.•The high strength of the FG Al–6.8 Mg alloy can be attributed to its high GB and solution-strengthening effects.•High work hardening rate and improved stress distribution led to the FG Al–6.8 Mg alloy exhibit high ductility.
We investigated the clinical significance and prognostic value of microRNA-100 (miR-100) in bladder cancer. Quantitative real-time polymerase chain reaction was used to analyze the expression of ...miR-100 in 92 pairs of human bladder cancer and adjacent normal tissue samples. Overall survival (OS) curves were plotted using the Kaplan-Meier method and were evaluated for statistical significance using a log-rank test. The significance of different variables with respect to survival was analyzed using the multivariate Cox proportional hazard model. The miR-100 expression level was significantly lower in bladder cancer tissues than in normal adjacent tissues (mean ± SD: 1.49 ± 0.52 vs 2.79 ± 0.59, P < 0.05). A low miR-100 expression level was correlated with tumor stage (P = 0.023), tumor grade (P = 0.031), and regional lymph node involvement (P = 0.16). Kaplan-Meier analysis with log-rank test indicated that low miR-100 expression had a significant impact on OS (35.1 vs 75.3%; P = 0.004). Multivariate analysis revealed that the miR-100 expression level was an independent prognostic factor for OS (HR = 2.768, 95%CI = 1.287-8.992; P = 0.009) in bladder cancer patients. The present study demonstrated that the downregulation of miR-100 was associated with advanced clinical features and poor prognosis for bladder cancer patients, suggesting that miR-100 downregulation may be used as an unfavorable prognostic biomarker in bladder cancer.
