Introduction
The aim of the study was to assess the relationship between performing remote work during the COVID-19 pandemic and the level of job and life satisfaction, as well as the assumed, ...intermediary role of the level of perceived stress and such resources as self-efficacy and self-esteem.
Material and methods
The study, implemented with the use of an internet application, included 283 employees. Data were gathered using a job and life satisfaction scale, the Short Scale for Measuring General Self-Efficacy Beliefs, the Rosenberg Self-Esteem Scale, Perceived Stress Scale PSS-4 and a demographic information form.
Results
The results showed the existence of a relationship between performing remote work during the COVID-19 pandemic and job and life satisfaction, and that the level of perceived stress, self-efficiency and self-esteem plays an intermediary role in this relationship. Remote working is associated with life and job satisfaction, and this relationship is mediated by levels of experienced stress, self-efficacy and self-esteem.
Conclusions
Findings indicate that remote working is associated with higher levels of job and work satisfaction. This relationship is mediated by levels of perceived stress, self-efficacy and self-esteem.
Resilience is a complex phenomenon which mediates in successful adaptation to adversity. Researchers are trying to understand its various trajectories, and this is evident in the growing literature ...relating resilience to health across the life span. This article intends to understand the nature of resilience, its characteristics and its various social, psychological and cultural sources. The research evidence presented provides a glimpse of the meaningful relationship that exists between resilience and health while unfolding the consequences of resilience on various health outcomes. While understanding the underlying reasons for the relationship between resilience and health, interventions at social, psychological, and clinical level have been suggested followed by recommendations for policy initiatives that will facilitate resilience and health.
This research aims to explore the Guru-Shishya Parampara (GSP); a teacher-disciple tradition in Indian culture. Using the narrative analysis approach, aspects of the tradition which make it an ...important contributing factor for psychological well-being for the 'guru', and the 'shishya' in the field of Kathak were examined by carrying out face-to-face interviews. This study aims to understand the relationship between a guru and a shishya in the context of Kathak, an Indian Classical art form. This research aims to explore how the relationship between a guru and a shishya is mutually beneficial, and how it results in healing and eventually enhancing well-being. Two separate semi-structured questionnaires were used for the 1 Guru and the 10 shishyas training under the guru in Noida, Uttar Pradesh, India. The questions explored various facets of Guru-Shishya Parampara, such as knowledge, motivation, self enhancement, beliefs, importance, and development of character strengths within the individual indulging in Guru-Shishya Parampara. The themes that emerged from the content analysis revealed that there were psychological benefits of being a guru/shishya, the positive effect on the minds of the guru/shishya, the qualities associated with a good guru/shishya, and the positive effects of dancing on mental well-being. The overview of the interviews demonstrated the advantages of guru shishya parampara. This research provides inputs to develop an awareness program that will involve issues pertaining to enhancing mental health by understanding the precursors of health in this area and promoting health through enhancing relationships between a teacher and their disciples.
India has a pluralistic system where people with mental health problems consult different local systems of healing, which can include Indian medicine (AYUSH), allopathic services, and folk or faith ...healing systems. These systems operate in parallel and there is limited collaboration between them. This study aimed at comparing the beliefs and attitudes towards traditional healing methods with the modern medical treatment procedures to understand their advantages and limitations and possibilities for collaboration. In-depth interviews using open-ended questionnaires (Khosla & Das, 2019) were conducted to know in detail about the motivations, attitudes, values, cultural beliefs and the rituals etc. of the traditional healers, medical practitioners and people seeking treatment from both. The traditional healers were from rural parts of Uttar Pradesh and the medical practitioner is employed in a hospital in urban area of Mumbai. Content analysis of the data was done and common themes that emerge provide an insight into the functioning of the traditional healing practices. The findings provide valuable inputs to develop integrative interventions combining traditional healing methods and medical treatment procedures in the best possible way for effective and holistic healing of the patients.
This present study aims to assess the mental health of the people in response to COVID outbreak and how lockdown brings about a change in affect, perceived stress, and anxiety of people in Indian. ...The data was collected using PANAS (Watson, 1988); Perceived Stress Scale (Cohen, 1988); and Beck's Anxiety Inventory (Beck, Brown, & Steer, 1998) from 600 participants including both males and females which encompasses students, working and non-working individuals in the age range of 15-60 years. Results indicated significant differences in affect, perceived stress and anxiety across age. Younger people reported more negative affect (NA), anxiety and perceived stress as compared to older people. Women reported experienced significantly more stress than men. There were significant positive correlations of NA with stress and anxiety. Positive affect was significantly negatively correlated with NA, anxiety and stress. Anxiety and perceived stress were also found to be correlated significantly in a positive relationship. The study has important implications for designing mental health management programs for people experiencing psychological distress due to the pandemic at community level by involving the policy makers and health care practitioners.

Along with socio-cultural aspects of gender differences in suicidal behavior, gender specific treatment possibilities are discussed in terms of clinical implications. Diverse paradigms of suicidal behavior along with the suggested prevention strategies are discussed in an effort to provide a scope for widening the horizon of mental health professionals and researchers working in this area so as to reduce the suicidal behavior across the world.
