Autor ovog rada prikazuje razvoj teologije kršćanskog Rima u prvim stoljećima putem misli nekih od najvažnijih autora i teoloških sustava. Svjestan pluralizma mišljenja i koncepcija koji su ...obilježavali teologiju kršćanskog Rima, ograničava se samo na neke od najvažnijih tekstova. Rad je podijeljen u nekoliko točaka koje su utjecale na razvoj teološke misli u glavnom gradu Rimskog Carstva te na hijerarhijsko uređenje prvotne Crkve u Rimu. Nakon toga autor stavlja naglasak na glavne točke rimske teologije u prva tri stoljeća preko najvažnijih tekstova koji su obilježili taj razvoj teološke misli.
The author of this paper presents the development of the theology of Christian Rome in the first centuries through the thought of some of the most important authors and theological systems. Thus, aware of the pluralism of opinions and conceptions that characterized the theology of Christian Rome, he confines himself to only some of the most important texts. The work as such is divided into several points that influenced the development of theological thought in the capital of the Roman Empire, then the hierarchical organization of the original Church in Rome. The author then places emphasis on the main points of Roman theology in the first three centuries through the most important texts that marked this development of theological thought.
The aim of this paper is to present the most important aspects of spirituality and mysticism of one of the greatest desert fathers who, due to the condemnation of his teaching at the Fifth Ecumenical ...Council in Constantinople (553), remained largely forgotten. We must note that there are very few studies that deal with this subject and give space to the presentation of Evagrius’ doctrine on spirituality and mysticism, and especially his ideas concerning the struggle against demons. Although his theological-dogmatical doctrine was condemned at the Fifth Council, with regard to his spirituality and mysticism, we have to say that Evagrius inspired the development of theology of spirituality and mysticism both in the East and the West. The fact is that if we want to understand his theological-spiritual system and mysticism, we should not avoid themes which today might cause some troubles, given that he was a condemned heretic.
This study tried to investigate the impact of oXiris filter on both clinical and laboratory parameters in critically‐ill COVID‐19 intensive care unit (ICU) patients receiving extracorporeal blood ...purification and the clinical setting for the initiation of therapy. A consecutive sample of 15 ICU patients with COVID‐19 was treated with oXiris membrane for blood purification or for support of renal function due to acute kidney injury. We have included 19 non treated ICU COVID‐19 patients as a control group. Two chest x‐rays were analyzed for determining the chest x‐ray severity score. We have found a significant decrease of SOFA score, respiratory status improved and the chest x‐ray severity score was significantly decreased after 72 h of treatment. IL‐6 significantly decreased after 72 h of treatment while other inflammatory markers did not. Respiratory status in the control group worsened as well as increase in SOFA score and chest x‐ray severity score. Survived patients have shorter time from the onset of symptoms before starting with extracorporeal blood purification treatment and shorter time on vasoactive therapy and invasive respiratory support than deceased patients. Critically‐ill patients with COVID‐19 treated with extracorporeal blood purification survived significantly longer than other ICU COVID‐19 patients. Treatment with oXiris membrane provides significant reduction of IL‐6, leads to improvement in respiratory status, chest x‐ray severity score, and reduction of SOFA score severity. Our results can suggest that ICU COVID‐19 patients in an early course of a disease could be potentially a target group for earlier initiation of extracorporeal blood purification.

: Twenty-eight eyes of 28 patients with a documented keratoconus (KN) progression were included. Patients were selected to undergo either epi off CXL30 or CXL10. At the baseline and the follow-up visits after one (V1), three (V2), and six months (V3), the patients underwent complete ophthalmic examination and corneal tomography.
: In the CXL30 group, all the parameters from the ABCD grading system significantly changed from baseline to V3; parameter A decreased (
= 0.048), B and C increased (
= 0.010,
< 0.001), and D decreased (
< 0.001). In the CXL10 group, there were no changes in parameters A (
= 0.247) and B (
= 0.933), though parameter C increased (
= 0.001) and D decreased (
< 0.001). After an initial decline after one month, visual acuity (VA) recovered on V2 and V3 (
< 0.001), and median maximal keratometry (Kmax) decreased in both groups (
= 0.001,
= 0.035). In the CXL30 group, there were significant changes in other parameters; average pachymetric progression index (
< 0.001), Ambrósio relational thickness maximum (ARTmax) (
= 0.008), front and back mean keratometry (
< 0.001), pachymetry apex (PA) (
< 0.001), and front elevation (
= 0.042). However, in the CXL10 group, there were significant changes only in ARTmax (
= 0.019) and PA (
< 0.001).
: Both epi-off CXL protocols showed similar short-term efficacy in improving VA and Kmax, halting the progression of KN, and both similarly changed tomographic parameters. However, the conventional protocol modified the cornea more significantly.
Rad želi prikazati odnos krsnog i ministerijalnog svećeništva kao dvaju oblika izvršavanja Kristova jedincatog svećeništva, koji imaju svoje utemeljenje u sakramentima krštenja i svetog reda kroz ...misao crkvenih otaca i crkvenih pisaca. Stoga će biti predstavljena njihova svjedočanstva o Kristovu svećeništvu te o krsnom i ministerijalnom svećeništvu. Nakon toga prelazi se na Drugi vatikanski koncil koji se, raspravljajući o toj temi, vratio na korijenje, odnosno na crkvenu tradiciju, te oživio krsno svećeništvo, koje je protureformacijom bilo palo u zaborav. U tom kontekstu autor se bavi temama odnosa između tih dvaju svećeništva, njihova razlikovanja i jedinstva.
The article aims to show the relation between the baptismal and ministerial priesthood as two forms of carrying out Christ’s unique priesthood. According to Church fathers and Church writers, these two forms are founded in the sacraments of baptism and holy orders. Hence, the article will present their testimonies on Christ’s priesthood and on the baptismal and ministerial priesthood. After that, the article will address the Second Vatican Council that returned to the roots, i.e., to the Church tradition, when it comes to this topic. In this way, the Council brought back to life the baptismal priesthood that has been forgotten during the counter-reformation. In that context, the author deals with the topics of the relation between the baptismal and ministerial priesthood, their differences and unity.

Članak je podijeljen u dvije glavne cjeline kojezapravo čine i ...naslov samog rada. Tako će u prvoj cjelini biti riječio povijesti nastanka hodočašća – prije i poslije Milanskog edikta.U ovom dijelu autor se također bavi i odnosom između dvajubiskupskih središta Cezareje i Jeruzalema, te prvim hodočasničkimizvještajima i putnim vezama i udaljenostima kojima su hodočašćaišla. Druga cjelina, koja govori o Jeruzalemu kao nebeskojdomovini kršćana, obrađuje teme koje se tiču stavova otaca premakršćanskim hodočašćima, te razvoju kršćanskih svetih mjesta.Cjelina se zaokružuje tematikom Crkve kao hodočasničkognaroda u kojoj će biti riječi o askezi i gostoljubivosti kod kršćanakao izvoru i plodu hodočašća, te životnom putu prvih kršćana.
In this article the author reflects on the phenomenon of pilgrimage and the very beginnings of pilgrimage, limiting himself to the first five centuries of the early Church. The article is divided into two main parts, which actually make up the title of the paper itself. Thus, the first part will discuss the history of the origin of the pilgrimage - before and after the Edict of Milan. In this part, the author also deals with the relationship between the two episcopal centres, Caesarea and Jerusalem, as well as the first pilgrimage reports and travel connections and distances that the pilgrimages covered. The second part, which talks about Jerusalem as the heavenly homeland of Christians, deals with topics concerning the attitudes of the Fathers towards Christian pilgrimages, and the development of Christian holy places. The whole is rounded off with the theme of the Church as a pilgrim nation, which will discuss asceticism and hospitality among Christians as the source and fruit of pilgrimage, and the life path of the first Christians.
Cilj je ovoga rada prikazati najvažnije aspekte duhovnosti i misticizma jednoga od najvećih pustinjskih otaca, koji je zbog osude njegova nauka na Petom ekumenskom koncilu u Carigradu (553. godine) ...ostao dobrim dijelom zaboravljen. Moramo napomenuti da nema baš mnogo studija koje se bave striktno tom tematikom i koji daju prostora predstavljanju Evagrijeva nauka o duhovnosti i misticizmu i pogotovo njegovim idejama koje se tiču borbe protiv demona (napasti). Naime, premda je njegov teološko-dogmatski nauk osuđen na Koncilu, kad je u pitanju njegova duhovnost i njegov misticizam, Evagrije je nadahnuo razvoj teologije duhovnosti i misticizma i na Istoku i na Zapadu. Činjenica je da, ako nastojimo shvatiti njegov teološko-duhovni sustav i mistiku, ne smijemo izbjegavati teme koje bi danas doduše mogle dovesti i do određenih neprilika s obzirom na to da je riječ o osuđenom krivovjercu.

Cilj ovog članka je predstaviti susret kršćanstva i antičke filozofije u Justinovu nauku o Logosu, referirajući se na njegov Razgovor s Trifunom i pogotovo na njegove dvije Apologije. U antičkim ...vremenima postojala je tendencija interpretirati riječ filozofija više u smislu stila života negoli intelektualnog stava. U ovom članku ilustrirat ćemo odnos vjere i razuma, odnosno kršćanstva i antičke filozofije, u misli jednog od najvažnijih apologeta – sv. Justina. Premda naslov sugerira da će biti riječi o platonizmu i stoicizmu u Justinovu nauku, potrebno je reći da nije toliko riječ o tim dvama filozofijskim sustavima koliko o tome kako ih Justin interpretira. U tom kontekstu postavlja se pitanje može li antička filozofija, odnosno stoicizam i različiti oblici platonizma, koji se mogu primijetiti u nauku sv. Justina, biti sredstvo kojim će se bolje objasniti pojedine koncepcije jasno iznesene i analizirane u Svetom pismu. Također se pojašnjava i način na koji je sv. Justin prepoznao mogućnost jedne »kršćanske filozofije«, koja je prikladna objasniti i produbiti kršćansku misao pred carevima koji u svojoj ruci drže cijelo Rimsko Carstvo koje se neprijateljski postavilo prema kršćanstvu nastojeći ga iskorijeniti.
Introduction
Lacrimal gland prolapse (LGP) is a term used to describe a benign, anterior displacement of the lacrimal gland. If this condition is not properly addressed during upper blepharoplasty, ...the aesthetic and functional results are less than optimal. This study aimed to report the surgical outcomes of upper blepharoplasty combined with dacryoadenopexy in patients with LGP.
Methods
We reported an unusual case of severe LGP in a young patient. In addition, we performed a systematic review of the English literature on surgical cases of LGP published between 1973 and 2023. Eligible articles were analyzed for individual patient data (IPD) and aggregate patient data (APD). The primary predictor variable was the surgical technique used for lacrimal gland repositioning/suspension. The primary outcome variable was relapse rate.
Results
The bibliographic search retrieved 488 surgical cases of LGP: 12 in IPD, and 476 in APD datasets. The relapse rates in the IPD and APD cohorts were 8.3% (1/12) and 1.2% (6/476), respectively. Within the APD dataset, no significant difference in the relapse rates between dacryoadenopexy via suture suspension and Whitnall’s ligament suspension (5/409 and 1/20, respectively;
P
> 0.05) was observed. Light cauterization of the lacrimal gland capsule and surrounding soft tissues was performed in mild LGP cases (< 4 mm prolapse), with a relapse rate of 0% (0/47).
Conclusion
Upper blepharoplasty combined with dacryoadenopexy proved to be a safe surgical procedure with very satisfactory aesthetic outcome and minimal relapse rate.

It is known that shoulder surgery may cause iatrogenic injury to the axillary nerve as a serious complication, but there is little evidence to indicate whether the axillary nerve is at risk of injury ...during an anterolateral acromial approach for minimally-invasive plate osteosynthesis (MIPO) of proximal humerus fractures. We hypothesised that this surgical method is safe for the axillary nerve and would preserve it from iatrogenic injury.
We conducted a prospective follow-up cohort study on 49 consecutive patients with proximal humerus fractures who were managed with MIPO through an anterolateral approach. All patients underwent standardised electroneurographic testing, with assessment of amplitudes of evoked compound muscle action potentials (CMAP) and distal motor latencies (DML) of the axillary nerves, pre- and post-operatively. Six weeks after injury, all patients underwent needle electromyographic (EMG) testing of anterior, middle, posterior deltoid, teres minor and paraspinal muscles for detecting abnormal muscle activity as a sign of acute denervation. After six months of physical rehabilitation, patients with axillary nerve injury underwent control electroneurographic testing to check the recovery of neurographic features (CMAP, DML). All nerve measurements were compared to reference values, and between right and left side.
Five patients had a mild-to-moderate traumatic axillary nerve injury before surgery. There were no significant differences between amplitudes of CMAP (p = 0.575) and DML (p = 0.857) pre- and post-surgical procedure.
These results confirmed safety of this surgical method in the preservation of axillary nerve from iatrogenic injury, but the course of the axillary nerve must be kept in mind.
