Hemophilia represents the most common inherited bleeding disorder linked to the X chromosome, which, if not properly treated, can lead to lifelong disabilities. This article presents the cases of 18 ...patients with hemophilia admitted between 2006-2022 to the Pediatric Oncohematology Department, Clinic II Pediatrics, Emergency County Hospital Craiova. Clinical and evolutionary aspects of the hospitalized patients are presented, including age at the time of diagnosis, heredocolateral history, symptoms at onset, clinical manifestations during the course of hospitalization, complications and prophylactic treatment.
Next element 6 has the known motion, like element 1, therefore there is no need for element 8 and couplings 1-8 and 6-8, the movement of point E being defined by the intersections of the lines DE ...with AB, therefore element 8 materializes the point of intersection, it having no kinematic role. ...element 8 and its two couplings are structurally parasitic. With these data, measured on the draft sketch (Figure 4), the mechanism for the position ф= 45 degrees is shown in figure 6 and the parabolic snail obtained in figure 7. The kinematic possibilities of a mechanism created by I. I. Artobolevskii for tracing Poncelet's capricornoid are studied. The structure of the mechanism is also studied by the contour method and the ...desired curve is obtained. Next, some parameters of the mechanism are changed, resulting other curves, or variants of the capricornoid with other dimensions and other positions of the two branches of the curve.

The volume no. 11 is dedicated to the scientists from Antiquity 1: Euclid - Greak mathematician (325-270 B.C.); Archimedes (287-212 B.C.) mathematician, physicist, astronomer, inventor, military ...engineer, philosopher, engineer); Apollonius of Perga (Greek surveyor and astronomer 262-190 B.C.); Nicomachus of Gerasa (ancient mathematician and music theorist 60-120 A.C.) Book of Lemmas attributed to Archimedes by Thäbit ibn Qurra is part of the above-mentioned volume. (3) use the following notations: (ProQuest: ... denotes formulae omitted.) * Graphic results Figure 7 depicts an Arbelos example, plotted with the mechanism from fig. 4, for which the mathematical properties stated by Archimedes in Proposition 4 from the Book of Lemmas are verified. Abstract: The Proposition 4 from the 11-th volume (called Book of Lemmas) of „Great Books of the Western World" (printed in USA in 1952) presents the properties of a remarkable curve from Antiquity.

In the specialized literature, there are few cases of inhaled salbutamol intoxication, being the most used bronchodilator in children’s asthma. We describe the situation of a 15-year-old teenager who ...inhaled salbutamol, in the context of an asthma attack, with each episode of coughing. At admission, the patient was conscious with a serious general state, afebrile, conscious, psychomotor agitation, tachycardic (heart rate=140/bpm), precordial pain, polypnea, dyspnea, with respiratory effort, hemodynamically stable, blood pressure=130/77 mmHg. Investigations showed hyperglycemia and hypokalemia. After the treatment, the evolution was favorable.
Based on the mathematical curve named rational circular cubic 2 and on its animation, it was conceived an original mechanism generating this curve. The mechanism has an additional kinematic chain ...that provides the drawing point of the curve as the center of a variable length straight segment. There are given the successive positions of the mechanism and the drawn curve, as well as the similar curves obtained at different positions of the fixed vertical straight and the driving's element joint. Such a mechanism can be used in textile machines, as a toy, in kinetic art, etc.
(1) Background: The objective of this study was to develop the field of mechanisms that generate aesthetic curves, as they can be useful in designing machines for the manufacture of highly beautiful ...products. We started from the image of the Flower of Life and we set out to build mechanisms in the field of mechanical engineering that can generate this image. (2) Methods: First, we studied in detail the geometry of the figure. Secondly, based on the mathematical considerations, we made the synthesis of a mechanism able to trace this image, based on the Geneva mechanism with intermittent movement. We completed this mechanism with other kinematic chains, so we generated the proposed curve. Next, we made the synthesis of the second generating mechanism. This was a gear mechanism with compound profiles to which we added additional kinematic chains to generate the Flower of Life curve. Further on, kinematics was applied to confirm the drawing of the curves with the closed loop method. (3) Results: The results obtained following the study and presented in the paper show that the two created mechanisms generate images (trajectories) identical to the Flower of Life. Moreover, other images similar to the Flower of Life, with great artistic potential, were obtained. (4) Conclusions: The aim of the study was achieved, the authors proposed two new mechanisms which generate a highly aesthetic design image—the “Flower of Life”. The paper provides all the notions of structure and kinematics that are necessary to calculate the mechanisms and also analyzes other kinematic possibilities of the created mechanisms. The paper contributes to the development of a new field in the Theory of Mechanisms: generating aesthetic curves.
Understanding how monetary policy decisions affect inflation and other economic variables is particularly important. In this paper we consider the implications of monetary policy under the inflation ...targeting regime in Romania, based on an autoregressive vector method including recursive VAR and structural VAR (SVAR). Therefore, we focus on assessing the extent and persistence of monetary policy effects on gross domestic product (GDP), price level, extended monetary aggregate (M3) and exchange rate. The main results of VAR analysis reflect a negative response of consumer price index (CPI), GDP and M3 and positive nominal exchange rate behaviour to a monetary policy shock, and also a limited impact of a short-term interest rate shock in explaining the consumer prices, production and exchange rate fluctuations.
Different variants of cardioids were reviewed and authors decided to an end to focus on the usability of a Double-heart curve. Starting from the geometric information related to its generation, the ...synthesis of an original generating mechanism was performed firstly, followed by the realization of its structural analysis. Mechanism’s positions were computed and the imposed curve was generated. The variations of certain trajectories were deduced from the corresponding diagrams. The mechanism sizes were modified and a wide class of curves presenting interest from the geometric point of view was obtained. Some mathematical properties of the curves generated by the above mechanism are studied (binormal vector, tangent equation in a current point, normal plane equation, tangent versor, versor of normal to the curve).
