Abstract
In this paper, a tilting system of ground penetrating radar by 5R1C 6-bar linkage mechanism is proposed. The kinematic function of hydraulic cylinder and the output angle is given in ...explicit format. The quasi-static formulation of the tilting system is proposed to calculate the shaft and revolute force. The simulation of mechanism via ADAMS and an experiment is made to verify the design. The maximum stress is exposed in curved shaft and the worst working condition is the tilt condition. It proves the validity of tilting system that both mechanism and hydraulic system work well in the loading condition and unloading condition.
The regulation of fungal cell wall biosynthesis is crucial for cell wall integrity maintenance and directly impacts fungal pathogen virulence. Although numerous genes are involved in fungal cell wall ...polysaccharide biosynthesis through multiple pathways, the underlying regulatory mechanism is still not fully understood. In this study, we identified and functionally characterized a direct downstream target of SomA, the basic-region leucine zipper transcription factor MeaB, playing a certain role in
cell wall integrity. Loss of
reduces hyphal growth, causes severe defects in galactosaminogalactan-mediated biofilm formation, and attenuates virulence in a
infection model. Furthermore, the
null mutant strain exhibited hypersensitivity to cell wall-perturbing agents and significantly alters the cell wall structure. Transcriptional profile analysis revealed that MeaB positively regulates the expression of the galactosaminogalactan biosynthesis and β-1,3-glucanosyltransferase genes

and
in the presence of different concentrations of congo red. In conclusion,
MeaB plays a critical role in cell wall integrity by governing the expression of genes encoding cell wall-related proteins, thus impacting the virulence of this fungus.IMPORTANCE
is a common opportunistic mold that causes life-threatening infections in immunosuppressed patients. The fungal cell wall is a complex and dynamic organelle essential for the development of pathogenic fungi. Genes involved in cell wall polysaccharide biosynthesis and remodeling are crucial for fungal pathogen virulence. However, the potential regulatory mechanism for cell wall integrity remains to be fully defined in
. In the present study, we identify basic-region leucine zipper transcription factor MeaB as an important regulator of cell wall galactosaminogalactan biosynthesis and β-1,3-glucan remodeling that consequently impacts stress response and virulence of fungal pathogens. Thus, we illuminate a mechanism of transcriptional control fungal cell wall polysaccharide biosynthesis and stress response. As these cell wall components are promising therapeutic targets for fungal infections, understanding the regulatory mechanism of such polysaccharides will provide new therapeutic opportunities.
Large-scale gold mineralization during the Early Cretaceous is identified in the Jiaodong Peninsula of China. Sources of ore-forming fluids remain debated. We study the Qilishan gold deposit in the ...northwestern Jiaodong Peninsula with detailed mineralogical observation and
in-situ
sulfur isotope analyses, in order to reveal the gold occurrence and the origin of ore-forming fluids. The Qilishan gold deposit is mainly clastic altered rock-type in mineralization, and ore minerals are visible native gold, electrum, pyrite, chalcopyrite and galena, gangue minerals as quartz, sericite and calcite. The gold occurrence includes inclusion and intergranular types, formed within pyrites and chalcopyrites and along their fissures.
In-situ
sulfur isotope analysis of gold-bearing sulfides suggests that the Qilishan deposit is enriched in heavy sulfur, with δ
34
S values mainly from +8.0‰ to +12.0‰. δ
34
S values increase gradually with the fluid evolution from the early to late stages, which is interpreted to be related to the loss of sulfur via sulfide precipitation. The crystallization of sulfides from hydrothermal fluids may have triggered the instability of Au(HS)
2
, and finally led to gold precipitation. Combined with sulfur isotope compositions of other gold deposits (
n
=43) and wall-rocks in the Jiaodong Peninsula, it is proposed that the ore-forming fluids were probably not directly originated from metamorphic wall-rocks (e.g., Jiaodong Group). Moreover, the relatively long time interval rules out the possibility that the gold mineralization (ca. 120 Ma) was associated with granitic magma activities (mostly 160–150 Ma). Possible ore genesis scenario is that, long-term subduction of slabs (e.g., the Paleo-Pacific) with gold-enriched pyritic materials and crustal sedimentary rocks resulted in both high Au contents and positive δ
34
S values of sulfur in the lithospheric mantle below the North China Craton. Subsequently, devolatilization of the metasomatized mantle produced auriferous fluids that migrated upward along translithospheric fault systems, and gold finally precipitated in favorable structural positions, generating the world-class Jiaodong deposits in the Early Cretaceous.
Pyrethroids are common contaminants in water bodies. In this study, an efficient mussel shell-based adsorbent was prepared, the effects of factors (calcination temperature, calcination time, and ...sieved particle size) on the pyrethroid adsorption capacity from calcined shell powder were investigated via Box-Behnken design, and the prediction results of the model were verified. By characterizing (scanning electron microscopy, X-ray diffraction, Fourier infrared spectroscopy, and Brunauer-Emmett-Teller measurements) the adsorbent before and after the optimized preparation process, the results showed that calcined shell powder had a loose and porous structure, and the main component of the shell powder under optimized condition was calcium oxide. The adsorption mechanism was also investigated, and the analysis of adsorption data showed that the Langmuir, pseudo second-order, and intra-particle diffusion models were more suitable for describing the adsorption process. The adsorbent had good adsorption potential for pyrethroids, the adsorption capacity of the two pesticides was 1.05 and 1.79 mg/g, and the removal efficiency was over 40 and 70% at the maximum initial concentration, respectively.
To investigate the influence of the guide vane height on the cyclonic flow characteristics of guide vane cyclones, this paper mainly adopts a combination of numerical simulation and physical ...experiments, taking the guide vane height as the research object, analysing the internal spiral flow generation law through the flow velocity distribution in each section of the cyclone and the change trend along the course and comparing the tangential velocity, radial velocity and axial velocity characteristics of the cyclone at different guide vane heights. The results show that the tangential velocity increases with the increase in the guide vane height on the cyclone and then decreases. When the ratio between the height of the guide vane and the inner radius of the cyclone is in the range of 0.5–0.7, a higher−strength and more stable spiral flow can be produced, and the tangential velocity reaches the maximum when the guide vane height is 30 mm and the height−to−diameter ratio is around 0.6. As the height of the guide vane increases, the radial velocity area towards the wall of the tube increases, while the radial velocity area towards the tube axis decreases. The overall distribution of axial flow velocity is similar to that of turbulent flow in a circular tube, and the velocity increases with increasing height of the guide vane. The conclusion of this paper provides a theoretical basis for further optimisation of the cyclone structure parameters.
It is of great significance to explore the flow velocity characteristics of piped cars when they are started under different loads. In this paper, the flow velocity characteristics of the water flow ...around a piped car when it is started in the straight pipe section are studied through physical experiments. The masses of the piped cars are 1.5 kg, 1.9 kg, and 2.3 kg, respectively. The results show that, with the increase in the load of the pipeline car, the axial flow velocity in the front section increases, the absolute values of radial flow velocity and circumferential flow velocity increase, and the gradient of flow velocity increases. The positive radial flow velocity and negative circumferential flow velocity regions increase, and the distribution of positive and negative radial flow velocities and circumferential flow velocities is obvious. The gradients of axial, radial, and circumferential flow velocities in the annular section all increase, and the contour spacing becomes smaller and more densely distributed. The absolute values of the radial and circumferential flow velocities increase. The regional demarcation of axial flow velocity in the rear section is more obvious, and the average value of axial flow velocity in the high-flow-velocity area behind the vehicle increases. Additionally, the gradient of flow velocity increases. The absolute values of radial velocity and circumferential velocity increase, the gradient of velocity increases, and the velocity distribution is obviously regional. This study supplements and improves the theoretical study of a piped car when it is started and has certain reference value for the research and application of the hydraulic transport technology of the barrel-loading pipeline.
In order to improve the effective utilization of agricultural irrigation water and to reasonably allocate water resources in irrigation areas, it is necessary to use open channel flow measurement ...devices that are accurate and easy to carry. In this study, a spring-plate flow measurement device with different plate widths was designed. Through a combination of theoretical analysis and numerical simulation, the measurement characteristics of the device in specific channels under conditions of 20–105 m3/h flow were studied, the relationship between the flow rate and the force acting on the plate surface was fitted, and the hydraulic characteristics of water flow during its use, such as pressure, velocity distribution, and head loss, were analyzed. The results show that in the process of using the spring-plate flow measurement device, the force on the plate surface increases with the increase in the flow rate, and the force on the plate surface is related to the flow rate in the channel by a power of 5/6. The width of the measurement plate impacts the accuracy of flow measurement, and the smaller the plate width, the larger the error in flow measurement. The distribution of pressure on the measurement plate is similar to that of static pressure, and the pressure increases with the increase in the width of the measurement plate. The upstream flow velocity of the device is small, and the water level increases due to obstruction of the measurement plate. When it connects to the downstream water surface, the water level rapidly decreases, and the flow velocity increases. In using the spring-plate flow measurement device to measure flow, head loss will be produced, and the magnitude of this loss increases with the increase in the width of the measurement plate. The research results provide a theoretical basis for the application of spring plate flow-measuring devices in irrigation areas.
In Chinese medicine, the mental focus and emotional stability of acupuncturists are key to optimal clinical outcomes. Many renowned acupuncturists utilize Traditional Chinese Qigong practices to ...enhance their concentration and emotional regulation abilities. Nevertheless, the existing literature lacks comprehensive evidence addressing this matter.
This study will enroll 99 acupuncturists and randomly allocate them to one of three groups: Baduanjin, aerobic exercise, or a waiting-list control. The Baduanjin group will undertake 24 weeks of training, with three one-hour sessions weekly. The aerobic group will engage in brisk walking for the same duration and frequency. The control group will not receive any specific training. Assessments of emotion regulation, attention, cognitive functions, finger sensation, and athletic ability will be conducted at baseline (-1 week), mid-intervention (12 weeks), and post-intervention (24 weeks). Additionally, 20 participants from each group will undergo fMRI scans before and after the intervention to explore brain functional and structural changes relating to emotion, attention, cognition, motor skills, and sensory perception.
This study aims to contribute valuable insights into the effectiveness of Qigong practice, specifically Baduanjin, in enhancing emotional regulation, attention, and cognitive functions in acupuncturists and to investigate the neuroimaging mechanisms behind these effects.

The overrunning clutch, or freewheel, is a kind of universal part with a one-way drive character, and is widely used in machinery. Typical roller overrunning clutches and sprag overrunning clutches ...have shortcomings such as low load bearing capacity, low torsional stiffness, and short life. For these reasons, studies on high-performance overrunning clutches have always been the focus of researchers. In this paper, a new type of double arc sprag overrunning clutch is proposed that overcomes the disadvantages of poor transmission capacity and low rigidity found in traditional overrunning clutches. The mechanical model of the double arc sprag overrunning clutch is established, the calculation formulas of the overrunning clutch engagement conditions and overrunning conditions are deduced, and the forces of the outer ring, roller, and inner star wheel of the overrunning clutch are also deduced. The contact stress and transmission torque of the overrunning clutch are compared with those of the roller overrunning clutch and the sprag overrunning clutch. The results show that the proposed overrunning clutch has the largest load capacity, which is 5.75 times that of the roller type overrunning clutch, and 2.1 times that of the sprag type overrunning clutch. The experiment shows that the proposed overrunning clutch has reliable bonding conditions in the oil-free and oil-immersed state, and the overrunning condition is sensitive, which indicates the effectiveness of the double arc sprag overrunning clutch. The roller overrunning clutch and double arc sprag overrunning clutch with the same geometric parameters are designed and manufactured, and the torsional stiffness test of the three types of overrunning clutches is carried out. The results show that the torsional stiffness of the double arc sprag overrunning clutch is the largest, which is 4.6 times of the roller overrunning clutch and 6.2 times of the sprag overrunning clutch.
Aims Phytoremediation is an emerging strategy for the removal of heavy metal contaminants. However, one of the prerequisite is to understand adequately plant resistant mechanisms. The present study ...was performed to assess the role of endogenous SA in plant response to Pb or Cd using wild-type (wt) Arabidopsis and its SAaccumulating mutant sncl, SA-reducing transgenic line nahG, SA signal-blocking nprl-1, and sncl/nahG (i.e. expression of nahG in sncl plant) with a comparable level of SA to the wt. Methods Plants were grown hydroponically in controlled conditions. For heavy metal exposure, Pb²⁺ or Cd²⁺ at final concentrations of 50 µM, 100 µM, and 150 µM, respectively, was added to the culture solution. Unless otherwise indicated, samples were harvested after 7 d of exposure, and used for analyses. Results Compared to the wt level, the high endogenous SA significantly potentiated Pb- and Cd-induced plant growth retardation, whereas SA deficiency decreased the growth inhibition, and SA signaling blockage also had some protective effect. The expression of nahG in sncl plant mitigated effectively the growth inhibition. The SA-related mechanism was involved in redox homeostasis, photosynthetic process, and soluble matter accumulation. Conclusions These results suggest that Pb- or Cd- induced phytotoxicity in Arabidopsis was intensified by elevated endogenous SA, whereas ameliorated by reduced SA.
