The backflow region length in sudden-reduction oil tube is not only closely associated with its energy loss, but
is also closely related to the partition between orifice plate and plug. In this ...paper, the characteristics of backflow region
length in sudden-reduction oil tube are researched. The results illustrated that backflow region length decreases with the
increase in the contraction ratio. Moreover, when Reynolds number is more than 105, Reynolds number has little impact
on backflow region length. Empirical expression about backflow region length in sudden-reduction oil tube is also
discussed in this paper.
Solving the quadratically constrained quadratic programming (QCQP) problem is in general NP-hard. Only a few subclasses of the QCQP problem are known to be polynomial-time solvable. Recently, the ...QCQP problem with a nonconvex quadratic objective function over one ball and two parallel linear constraints is proven to have an exact computable representation, which reformulates the original problem as a linear semidefinite program with additional linear and second-order cone constraints. In this paper, we provide exact computable representations for some more subclasses of the QCQP problem, in particular, the subclass with one second-order cone constraint and two special linear constraints.
To investigate the effects of rosiglitazone (ROZ) on proliferation and cell cycle of human hepatocellular carcinoma cell line HepG2 and explore the underlying mechanisms by detecting the related ...proteins.
After treated with ROZ of different concentrations, HepG2 cells were tested for the changes in the cell proliferation by MTT assay and in the cell cycle by flow cytometry. Western blotting and RT-PCR were performed to measure the expressions of PTEN, pAkt, S phase kinase associated protein 2 (Skp2) and P27(kip1); at protein and mRNA levels, respectively. RESULTS ROZ significantly inhibited HepG2 cell proliferation in a concentration-dependent and time-dependent manner (P<0.05). The proportion of HepG2 cells in G0/G1 phase increased, and that in S phase decreased significantly (P<0.05). ROZ reduced the expressions of pAkt and Skp2, and raised the expressions of PTEN and P27(kip1); in HepG2 cells (P<0.05). RT-PCR revealed that ROZ increased the expressions of PTEN mRNA, decreased the expressions of Skp2 mRNA,
A distributed stochastic power flow algorithm for distribution network based on inter-region scenario equivalence is proposed for the problem that the power injection of each node needs to be ...simulated with a large number of samples in the distribution network stochastic power flow algorithm, thus causing low computational efficiency. Firstly, the distribution network is divided into a backbone region and several sub-regions according to its radial structure characteristics, and the sampled power samples are partitioned; secondly, based on the inter-region power flow coupling relationship, the inter-region power flow action is replaced with the effect on the boundary quantity; then, a scenario equivalence method is proposed to merge the power scenarios that cause the same boundary injected power and boundary voltage. Finally, a distributed algorithm for distribution network stochastic currents is designed, and each region can complete the distributed solution of distribution network stochastic currents through the exchange of boundary equivalence scenario information and internal calculation, and the accuracy and effectiveness of the proposed method in reducing time are verified in the IEEE123 node system calculation example.

In humans, loss of the fragile X mental retardation protein, FMRP, leads to the most common inherited form of intellectual disability, the fragile X syndrome. FMRP is predominantly ...present in the cytoplasm where it regulates translation of proteins important for synaptic function. However a small percentage of FMRP is localized in the nucleus where its function has remained unclear. We demonstrate that FMRP associates with chromatin and participates in the replication stress‐dependent DNA damage response (DDR), possibly by recognizing specific histone modifications. Taken together, our findings uncover an unexpected role of FMRP in the DDR and suggest that FMRP‐dependent maintenance of genomic stability may be a potential contributing factor in the development of the fragile X syndrome.
Highly dense lead-free ceramics (1-x)(K sub(0.5)Na sub(0.5))NbO sub(3)- x(Bi sub(0.5)Na sub(0.5))TiO sub(3) (1-x)KNN-xBNT have been synthesized by pressureless sintering owing to the careful control ...of processing conditions. The densification of (1-x)KNN-xBNT ceramics improves with increasing addition of BNT. The translucence is observed in 0.96 KNN-0.04 BNT ceramics. Diffuse phase transition and frequency dispersion of the dielectric constant, which are two typical characteristics for relaxor ferroelectrics, are observed in (1-x)KNN-xBNT ceramics. Dielectric relaxor behavior obeys a modified Curie-Weiss law. In addition, (1-x)KNN-xBNT ceramics possess a high Curie temperature (>320C). The results indicate that (1-x)KNN-xBNT (x=0.06) ceramics are promising lead-free candidate relaxor ferroelectrics for high-temperature applications.
