Il s'agit ici de considérer l'espace consacré à la réanimation au sein de l'Oncopole de Toulouse, et de montrer comment son organisation matérielle exerce un impact sur la relation entre les sujets ...soignés et les professionnels du soin. Le service de Réanimation de l'Oncopole suppose, dans sa scénographie, que les personnes soignées n'y passent qu'un temps très court – il s'agit en effet d'y prendre en charge les stades critiques des situations pathologiques des personnes soignées, accueillies initialement dans d'autres services de l'établissement. Nous voudrions montrer qu'en réalité, les séjours des personnes prises en charge en Réanimation peuvent être amenés à s'étirer dans le temps. Cette présence étirée des personnes soignées entre alors en contradiction avec l'organisation matérielle du service lui-même. C'est cette dissonance – entre la permanence d'une présence et un espace conçu pour «des instants» – que nous nous proposons d'étudier ici, en croisant notre expérience de terrain à la lecture du philosophe Maurice Merleau-Ponty.

Los conceptos de percepción y corporalidad en la obra de Maurice Merleau-Ponty han influido los estudios sobre filosofía del teatro. La idea de la conciencia encarnada es relevante para comprender la ...experiencia corporal y expresiva en el contexto teatral, especialmente, para indagar en la relación que se presenta entre el espectador y la obra. Así, el obejtivo de este artículo es evidenciar cómo se configura el campo fenomenal en una obra teatral en dos momentos: primero, la comprensión del escenario como núcleo articulador de la experiencia en la que intervienen espacio, tiempo y movimiento; segundo, la relación entre el actor y el espectador en términos de la gestualidad y la palabra. Se demuestra que en el teatro hay una configuración generativa de sentidos colectivos conforme a la modulación del campo fenomenal.

Drawing on previously unexplored sources, Kerry H. Whiteside presents the political theory of Maurice Merleau-Ponty (1908-1961), one of France's best-known twentieth-century philosophers. Whiteside ...argues that Merleau-Ponty's objective in his political writings was to make existentialism into the foundation for a philosophically consistent mode of political thinking. This study discusses the inadequacies Merleau-Ponty found in the traditional philosophies of empiricism and idealism, and then examines the subject-object dualism that he believed deprived previous forms of existentialism of political significance.
Whiteside shows how Merleau-Ponty overcame these problems by grounding political reasoning in a theory of consciousness that emphasized both its individuality and its need for socially created meaning. After explaining Merleau-Ponty's modifications of the views of Sartre, Aron, and others, the book investigates how he applied his political theory in editorial exchanges with Communists and liberals. Throughout this study, Whiteside traces and criticizes the changes in the philosopher's concept of Marxism and points to his many ideas that bear on current controversies in political theory.
