Mimo że cantiga de amigo jest emblematycznym elementem poezji galicyjsko-portugalskiej, a w polszczyźnie dysponujemy nawet kilkoma przekładami pieśni należących do tego gatunku, pozostają one nadal ...dość słabo zbadane, a ich obraz bywa znacznie uproszczony. Celem niniejszego artykułu jest zwrócenie uwagi na te pieśni o kochanku, które zawierają elementy satyryczno-humorystyczne, zaproponowanie pewnych zmian w ich klasyfikacji genologicznej oraz zwrócenie uwagi na niejednorodny charakter miłosnej liryki galicyjskich trubadurów. Artykuł został uzupełniony o przekłady poetyckie i filologiczne nigdy wcześniej nietłumaczonych na język polski pieśni galicyjsko-portugalskich.
Cultural history of contemporary Portuguese comics and
their creative responses to trauma
Portugal's vibrant comics scene originated as early as the 19th
century, bringing forth brilliant individual ...artists, but has
remained mostly unknown beyond Portugal's borders to this day. Now
a new generation employs this medium to put into question hegemonic
views on the economy, politics, and society. Following the
experience of the financial crisis of the past decades and its
impact on social policies, access to and rules of public discourse,
and civil strife, comics have questioned what constitutes a
traumatogenic situation and what can act as a creative
response.
By looking at established graphic novels by Marco Mendes and Miguel
Rocha, fanzine-level, and even experimental productions,
Visualising Small Traumas is the first English-language
book that addresses Portuguese contemporary comics and investigates
how trauma studies can both shed a light on comics making and be
informed by that very same practice. This publication is

Carta Geographica de Projecçaõ Espherica Orthogonal da Nova Lusitania ou America Portugueza e Estado do Brazil
from 1798, together with its 1795 (?), 1797 and 1803 versions, is ...undoubtedly one of the cartographic monuments developed by Portuguese cartography from the late eighteenth century. Its organizer was the geographer, astronomer, and frigate captain Antonio Pires da Silva Pontes Leme, who relied on the work of 34 people, including astronomers, geographers, and engineers, who, although only mentioned in the 1798 version, contributed to the creation of all versions. All of them are similar in appearance, but differ in size, content, details, amount, and distribution of toponyms, which will be the subject of another paper. The greatest similarity, however, concerns the defined map projection.
The objective of this paper is to analyse and present the possible hypotheses and conclusions about which map projection was adopted for all versions of
Nova Lusitania
, through the identification of characteristics that allowed to infer and prove the adopted projection. The applied methodology verified that in the bibliographic search, the information about the map structure is insufficient. An article presented by General Djalma Polli Coelho in October 1950 states that the projection suggested by its title, as orthogonal spherical, appeared to be the Sanson-Flamsteed equal-area projection. However, the expression

allows us to infer also the transverse orthographic projection.
Through parameters defined for the two projections, it was possible to establish the comparative elements for a cartographic analysis, which would allow us to conclude and prove the structure adopted for the map, allowing to conclude if the adopted projection for the
Nova Lusitania
was an azimuthal orthographic equatorial projection, or a Sanson-Flamsteed, sinusoidal projection on the meridian 315°, defined west-east, (counterclockwise), from the El Hierro (Ferro) Island. This meridian is referenced approx. –62°39'46" off the Greenwich meridian.

Njezin je organizator bio geograf, astronom i kapetan fregate Antonio Pires da Silva Pontes Leme koji se oslanjao na rad 34 osobe, uključujući astronome, geografe i inženjere, koji su, iako samo spomenuti u inačici iz 1798. godine, pridonijeli izradi svih drugih.
Sve su inačice izgledom slične, ali se razlikuju po veličini, sadržaju, detaljima, količini i distribuciji toponima, no to će biti predmet drugoga rada. Međutim, najveća se sličnost odnosi na kartografsku projekciju.

In recent years there has been much interest in collective memory and commemoration. It is often assumed that when nations celebrate a historic day, they put aside the divisions of the present to ...recall the past in a spirit of unity. As Billig and Marinho show, this does not apply to the Portuguese parliament's annual celebration of 25 April 1974, the day when the dictatorship, established by Salazar and continued by Caetano, was finally overthrown. Most speakers at the ceremony say little about the actual events of the day itself; and in their speeches they continue with the partisan politics of the present as combatively as ever.
To understand this, the authors examine in detail how the members of parliament do politics within the ceremony of remembrance; how they engage in remembering and forgetting the great day; how they use the low rhetoric of manipulation and point-scoring, as well as high-minded political rhetoric. The book stresses that the members of the audience contribute to the meaning of the ceremony by their partisan displays of approval and disapproval. Throughout, the authors demonstrate that, to uncover the deeper meanings of political rhetoric, it is necessary to take note of significant absences.
The Politics and Rhetoric of Commemoration illustrates how an in-depth case-study can be invaluable for understanding wider processes. The authors are not content just to uncover unnoticed features of the Portuguese celebration. They use the particular example to provide original insights about the rhetoric of celebrating and the politics of remembering, as well as throwing new light onto the nature of party political discourse.
