The immutable, decentralized, smart contract-enabled, time-stamped, shareable, and append-only characteristics of blockchain technology have made it a subject of interest in almost every industry. ...The government sector is also exploring its potential uses to foster transparency, trust, and accountability. However, conducting a population census that is completely trustworthy, transparent, and accountable is a challenge, and blockchain technology could be used to address some of these issues. The current census system has shortcomings, such as incomplete population coverage and racial or ethnic discrimination. Our proposal involves the use of blockchain technology to create a solution for conducting a national population census in Pakistan, which would help alleviate these issues. In this paper, we investigate the architecture design and system capacity required for this blockchain-based solution. Our insights and findings will help advance the field of blockchain and promote the development of new and innovative solutions for census.
The architecture design is the primary task of the construction of the strategic early warning system. The characteristics and needs of strategic early warning system are specially analyzed to ...determine the campaign flow of the strategic early warning system based on DoDAF (The Department of Defense Architecture Framework). According to the characteristics of DoDAF architecture modeling, the architecture of strategic early warning system is specifically designed combined with the information of The American Strategic Early Warning System. It makes use of operational view of the group, the system view group to analyze the visual description of strategic early warning system architecture and its information exchange for the understanding of the inherent relations of the system. A reference is provided to carry out the actual system top-level design.

The increment of the complexity of systems requires new techniques that allow manipulating it adequately. Software architecture is becoming an important part of software design, which helps ...developers to handle the complexity of large systems. In addition, the management of the evolution as well as the maintenance of complex systems are two of most important problems to be solved by software engineering. Several solutions have been considered, one of them being the separation of concerns. These concepts have been extended along the life cycle and thus, Aspect Oriented Software Development (AOSD) arose. In this paper the architectural design phase and Aspect Oriented concepts are considered jointly. A proposal introducing aspects modelling in the architecture design phase is presented. The research is based on the combined use of a conventional architecture description language and an exogenous co-ordination model. When new requirements are going to be included in the system, the proposal provides the required steps to allow its evolution and maintenance by specifying an Aspect Oriented Architecture, which will permit us to change the system easily.
Content Delivery Servers can be grouped into logical networks according to several criteria: similar characteristics; functionalities; type of data delivered or proximity. Sometimes, it could be ...useful to find a way to join these autonomous logical networks. Research in this area focuses in centralized solutions, e.g. using a single point for data delivery between these groups. This paper proposes a novel architecture to interconnect content delivery servers from different groups and explains how they establish logical connections. The topology of logical connections, between servers clustered in different groups, changes depending on their capacity or because of server failures. The proposal is based on a hierarchical structure, in which the role of the server in the architecture is given by several parameters, being also scalable and fault-tolerant. We present the analytical model for this interconnection architecture and results obtained for some defined parameters. Finally, developed an application which used the protocol described in this paper and we deployed the proposed architecture in a real environment to obtain accurate measurements.
At present in Chinese hospitals, patients need to choose their own medical departments for medical treatment, often resulting in wrong registration, causing patients to travel back and forth, delay ...the condition and easy to cause doctor-patient disputes. In order to help patients correctly select appropriate departments and doctors, and successfully register for medical treatment, this paper analyses and designs an intelligent guidance system based on deep learning. This paper designs the work flow and overall structure of the system, and studies the key technologies adopted by the system. The intelligent guidance system can make use of the deep learning algorithm to triage departments according to the self-reported symptoms of patients, and assist to make an appointment, so as to provide efficient medical services for patients, reduce the workload of medical staff, improve the satisfaction of patients have positive significance.
The quantity of computer applications is increasing dramatically as the computer industry prospers. Meanwhile, even for one application, it has different requirements of performance and power in ...different scenarios. Although various processors with different architectures emerge to fit for the various applications in different scenarios, it is impossible to design a dedicated processor to meet all the requirements. Furthermore, dealing with uncertain processors significantly aggravates the burden of programmers and system integrators to achieve specific performance/power. In this paper, we propose elastic architecture (EA) to provide a uniform computing platform with high elasticity, i.e., the ratio of worst-case to best-case performance/power/performance-power trade-off, which can meet different requirements for different applications. It is achieved by dynamically adjusting architecture parameters (instruction set, branch predictor, data path, memory hierarchy, concurrency, status~zcontrol, and so on) on demand. The elasticity of our prototype implementation of EA, as Sim-EA, ranges from 3.31 to 14.34, with 5.41 in arithmetic average, for SPEC CPU2000 benchmark suites, which provides great flexibility to fulfill the different performance and power requirements in different scenarios. Moreover, Sim-EA can reduce the EDP (energy-delay product) for 31.14% in arithmetic average compared with a baseline fixed architecture. Besides, some subsequent experiments indicate a negative correlation between application intervals' lengths and their elasticities.
Conventional design support software tools cannot effectively manage the complex, heterogeneous information used in engineering and architecture (EA) tasks. Crucially, despite uncertainty being an ...inherent quality of EA information particularly in the early stages of a design project, current tools solely rely on numerical approaches which do not support such incomplete and vague information. In this paper, we establish a complete framework for developing qualitative support tools that directly address these shortcomings. Our framework is application oriented and addresses the broader issues surrounding the actual use of qualitative methods. It provides design principles and strategies that allow a software engineer to develop custom qualitative software tools according to their specific EA task specifications. Our framework also provides the engineer with practical theory and guidelines for implementing their custom qualitative model and validating their system using context specific test data. We demonstrate the validity of our framework by presenting a case study in architectural lighting in which a prototype qualitative reasoning engine successfully automates qualitative logic about the subjective impressions of a lighting installation.
According to the relevant criterion and principle of trusted computed module design and application, we have designed a trusted SoC chip, and have given the implementation of the basic function. In ...detail, we have discussed the design of trusted SoC chip security architecture and the main module function, the reliability of relevant parameter and transfer strategy of trusted root in chip development and application, together with the simulation and validation of relevant function. At last, we point out that one of the most important further research directions is the trusted measurement of dynamic data and security environment.
