This research deals with the two important topics: the definition of simple ways to determine the competitiveness of agricultural production and use of these indicators to determine the ...competitiveness of agricultural production in the region of Posavina in Bosnia and Herzegovina. The focus was on the micro indicators: revenue per worker, profit per worker and the rate of profit. In this study we focused on the area of Posavina in Bosnia and Herzegovina, as an area of intensive agricultural production. In this area the agricultural production is represented as a significant economic activity and has significant development potential. The selected indicators showed that most types of agricultural production had a relatively good results, which says that agricultural production can be profitabale. Therefore, it is of great importance to make the shift from traditional agricultural production based on the production of crops, to more acumulative and profitable activities. The aproach should be to support the gradual redirection of activities, resources, labor force, from less competitive, to more competitive activities.

Knowledge management is directed towards identification, creation and exchange of knowledge. Many concepts of knowledge management have roots in the area of expert systems and artificial intelligence in general. Knowledge acquisition, knowledge representation, methods and techniques of coding the knowledge for expert system development purposes are directly associated with these activities for knowledge management purposes. From the aspect of knowledge lifecycle expert systems can be applied in knowledge creation, knowledge transfer or dissemination and usage of knowledge. Utilization of expert systems is particularly spread in the area of finance, especially in the tax planning, financial diagnosis, financial accounting, credit process, and credit risk measurement. As part of more comprehensive expert system for creditworthiness estimation, this paper presents expert system for business efficiency estimation from the aspect of knowledge management.
As the analysis of business efficiency factors, this essay will mainly concentrate on effect from inner and micro factors. Moreover, the essay adopts company scale, proprietorship, human capital, and ...market share rate as independent variables, and the malmquist index, Technical Change and Efficiency Change as variables to set the model. Then it is found that the employee quality and market share rate is the most significant inner factors of business efficiency and determinate factors for insurance companies.
Based on Two-stage Correlative Data Envelopment Analysis (DEA), the empirical analysis on the business efficiency of expressway listed company is divided into two sub-processes. The results show that ...two-stage correlative DEA is more effective than traditional DEA in analyzing business efficiency of expressway listed company. Then this paper evaluates the analytical results of each company, and some suggestions are provided accordingly.

The Competitiveness is a key of the continuous development of insurance companies, while the efficiency embodies the competitiveness. After the analysis, it is found that the insurance industry has a fatal problem on wasting resources due to both low scale efficiency and pure technical efficiency which usually exist in the domestic insurance industry. Data envelopment analysis (DEA) is a technique to measure relative effectiveness based on a ratio scale for industries. DEA is widely used everywhere and for various models. Inverted data envelopment ...analysis (IDEA) is an extended model of DEA. In this study, we review business analysis using DEA and IDEA. These analysis methods analyze an object based on efficiency/inefficiency. However, a new problem has arisen in business analysis methods where the domains of efficiency and inefficiency are interconnected. We propose an improvement, suggesting a better business analysis technique. We evaluated the technique by performing a numerical value experiment with real numerical values and compared the original technique with the proposed method. As a result, by solving some examples, the proposed method meets some general practical needs of business analysis. One problem is that a unitary evaluation does not exist because the proposed method evaluates the object from the aspects of both efficiency and inefficiency. The proposed method has no problem in determining the level of efficiency, and can lead a result which will be accepted by the evaluation of individual changing parameters.

Istraživanje osposobljenosti tvrtki za primjenu TQM-a u Europi do sada nije značajnije istraživano, tako da je ovo prvo ozbiljnije istraživanje na tu temu. Istraživanje je imalo nekoliko temeljnih ...ciljeva. Prvo, utvrditi da li postoji statistički značajna veza između osposobljenosti tvrtki za implementaciju TQM-a i efikasnosti poslovanja. Drugo, istražiti postoji li značajna razlika u osposobljenosti tvrtki za primjenu koncepta TQM u tvrtkama koja imaju ISO certifikat u odnosu na tvrtke koje nemaju ISO certifikat. Rezultati istraživanja pokazali su da postoji statistički značajna veza između osposobljenosti tvrtki za implementaciju TQM-a i efikasnosti poslovanja. Isto tako, potvrđeno je da svaka od kategorija osposobljenosti tvrtke za implementaciju TQM-a ne utječe podjednako na efikasnost poslovanja tvrtke. Međutim, pokazano je da posjedovanje nekog od certifikata kvalitete ne utječe statistički značajno na osposobljenost tvrtki za implementaciju TQM-a u odnosu na tvrtke koja nemaju certifikat kvalitete, ali i da su tvrtke koje su u postupku stjecanja nekog od ISO certifikata kvalitete podjednako dobro osposobljene za implementaciju TQM-a kao i one tvrtke koje posjeduju certifikat kvalitete.
