This paper presents a pedagogical study on the need for applying a "Handbook of reference points" in undergraduate midwifery students’ theoretical material in a digital learning environment. Although ...interactive learning methods in a digital environment are evaluated as fully effective, we demonstrate the necessity of using paper-based information resources. By means of an entry and a final test control, the success rates of the observed student groups are summarized and compared, which are transformed from the student's obtained grade. Statistical processing was performed with the STATISTICA 10 package (with the ANOVA module). Analysis of variance was performed on the collected data. The findings are significant for health care educators who face many challenges in a digital learning environment. It is concluded that with the use of the "Handbook of reference points" in the virtual room, students increase their practical training com petencies.
This study aims to investigate students’ perceptions about the Madrasati platform as well as to identify the crucial factors that could influence the adoption of the Madrasati platform. Online ...quantitative survey method was employed to collect the data. SEM modelling method was adopted to analyze the hypotheses in the research model. The findings of the study indicate system quality, service quality and content quality, technology infrastructure, awareness, university management support, security concerns and training have a primary role in increasing the usage of the Madrasati platform in Saudi Arabia. The findings indicate that all factors have a significant influence on Madrasati platform-adoption among students. This research contributes to the body of knowledge and Madrasati platform-adoption practices. Likewise, it may help facilitate and promote the usage of Madrasati platform among students in Saudi universities.
Mobile learning (M-learning) has become an important educational technology component in higher education. M-learning makes it possible for students to learn, collaborate, and share ideas among each ...other with the aid of internet and technology development. However, M-learning acceptance by learners and educators is critical to the employments of M-learning systems. Attitudes towards M-learning technology is an important factor that helps in determining whether or not learners and educators are ready to use M-learning. Such attitudes will serve to identify strengths and weaknesses and facilitate the development of the technology infrastructure. This paper aims at exploring students and educators' attitudes towards the use of M-learning in higher educational universities within Oman and UAE; two neighboring countries in the Arab Gulf region. To serve this purpose, two survey questionnaires were conducted: one for students and another for educators. The participants of this study are 383 students and 54 instructors from five universities. Different factors have been examined to test where there is a significant difference among students and educators' attitudes towards the use of M-learning, such as gender, age, country, level of study, smartphone ownership, major in terms of students and age, country, academic rank, academic experience and smartphone ownership in terms of educators. Findings revealed significant differences among the students’ attitudes towards M-learning with regard to their smartphone ownership, country and age. Furthermore, results indicated that M-learning can be one of the promising pedagogical technologies to be employed in the higher educational environments within the Arab Gulf countries.

This article aims to analyze and develop a comic-based distance learning module (PJJ) in PAI Class V subjects at SDIT DOD Medan. This study uses a research and development (RnD) approach with the ...ADDIE model (Analyze, Design, Develop, Implement, Evaluate). Data collection instruments in this study, namely observation, interviews, questionnaires, and documentation. The results of this study indicate that (1) the feasibility of the comic-based PJJ module was validated by material experts with the acquisition of a percentage of 66.25% in the valid category, validation by media experts obtained a percentage of 78.75% also in the valid category and validation from teachers of religious education subjects. Islam SDIT DOD Medan obtained a percentage of 86.67% in the very valid category, so the overall average value of the percentage is 77.22% with a valid category; (2) the practicality of the comic-based PJJ module obtained an overall average score of 83.67% in the very practical category; and (3) the effectiveness of the PJJ module on Islamic Religious Education subjects in improving student learning outcomes obtained a normalized gain (N-Gain) score of 0.52, which is in the effective category. So it can be concluded that the product of developing comic-based distance learning modules in Islamic Religious Education subjects is effective in increasing student learning outcomes.
Introduction. Since 2020, education systems around the world had to shift from traditional classroom-based methods of teaching and learning to different types of remote or distance learning. ...Therefore, the shift to distance learning is able to provide some understanding on how this model of learning influences student motivation and creativity. Purpose. The study aimed to reveal how student positive or negative attitudes about distance learning influenced their creativity. Methods. The intervention took place at V.O. Sukhomlynskyi National University of Mykolaiv in Ukraine. The research was based on such methodology as a document analysis of student works, conducting a survey, and the correlation analysis. The Torrance Tests of Creative Thinking, a Likert scale questionnaire, the correlation analysis in Statistical Package for the Social Sciences (SPSS) were utilized as the research procedure. Results. The research findings revealed that while studying remotely on the elective course of Marketing during 2020-2021 academic year at V.O. Sukhomlynskyi National University of Mykolaiv, students’ attitudes toward distance learning in terms of their attitude to the platform used by the teacher affected their creativity. Conclusion. The main implication of the study is that educators should pay more attention to the platform of distance learning they use to teach students remotely. Understanding that students’ attitudes toward the necessity to study remotely may decrease their creativity, teachers can redirect remote learning toward blended learning and combining traditional and distance forms of learning to support the high level of student creativity.
This paper investigates online learning during the COVID-19 pandemic and explores the possibility that procrastinators have been impacted differently as compared to others. The research is ...explorative in nature and employs interviews from participants at a higher education institution in Norway as a primary method of investigation. The preliminary findings presented in the paper highlight differences between procrastinators and non-procrastinators regarding the desire to study and satisfaction with learning outcomes. The procrastinators are encountering a higher degree of challenges related to motivation as opposed to non-procrastinators. The preliminary findings also highlight challenges associated with student engagement and the use of the camera during online classes for all the students.
