V prispevku smo opredelili prevladujoča karierna sidra gospodarjev na slovenskih tržno usmerjenih kmetijah. Prevladujeta sidri varnosti in stabilnosti ter sidro življenjskega sloga, kar kaže, da ...gospodarji še vedno želijo stabilno, varno in predvidljivo delovno okolje ter samostojnost in prožnost pri organizaciji svojega dela. Stopnja izraženosti kariernih sider opozarja na pomanjkanje upravljavskih sposobnosti kmetov in skromno prisotnost kariernega sidra izziva. Razvoj kmetijstva in velika konkurenčnost znotraj panoge od kmeta zahtevata neprestano premagovanje in reševanje izzivov, iskanje novih priložnosti in odgovorno vodenje kmetije.

After ...discussing the global and European dimensions of terraced landscapes and their agricultural terraces, the volume focuses on Slovenian terraced landscapes~they are discussed separately by landscape types, individual regions, and sample cases in the territory of selected settlements (pilot areas). The conclusion also draws attention to the exceptional value and appeal of non-agricultural terraced landscapes that have been shaped by nature and man.

There are more than 135 different ethnic groups living in Burma. Because of the country’s diverse natural resources, it already attracted the attention of the global superpowers in the past, manifested in sixty years of British colonialism. It continues to be of interest today, especially because of its extensive supplies of natural gas, oil, gems, precious and rare metals, and valuable teakwood.Exceptionally picturesque Burma is also characterized by great biodiversity. The country is renowned for its elephants, many of which have been tamed. Rare white (albino) elephants are the most admired.The recommended ten-day tour first takes you to Burma’s largest city, Yangon, after which you continue your trip across the Irrawaddy Valley to the city of Bagan with its thousands of temples, and on to the country’s cultural center of Mandalay. You continue your trip onto the Shan Plateau to enjoy the peaceful flow of life at Lake Inle. If you have enough time, it is also worth visiting one of the seaside resorts.
Creativity is gaining in its importance within the knowledge society. Studying these complex dimensions and their long-term consequences for the economic and social progress was the object of ...abundant social studies n the past. But the transformation of the landscape due to creative influences, as one of the most important factors regarding structural changes in modern society, is not well represented in Slovenian geographical literature. The booklet at hand is the first attempt of establishing some geographical–developmental factors, which are encouraged by various forms of creative human activities. The geographical dispersion of human potentials is one of the key generators of creativity and social development. Some important socio–economic effects and regional disparities in the region are also in correlation with the aforementioned factors. We will try to explain some of them within a critical research view and within the form of the available space and on the other hand also show some new dimensions of social geography as a way of challenging future detailed discussions.

The concept of heritage relates to the ways in which contemporary society uses the past as a social, political or economic resource. Moreover, the schism between the cultural and economic uses of heritage also gives rise to potential conflicts of interest.
Examining these issues in depth, this book is the first sustained attempt to integrate the study of heritage into contemporary human geography. It is structured around three themes: the diversity of use and consumption of heritage as a multi-sold cultural and economic resource; the conflicts and tensions arising from this multiplicity of uses, producers and consumers; and the relationship between heritage and identity at a variety of scales.
