O Polo Industrial de Manaus (PIM) é um importante centro de produção para diversas indústrias, incluindo a automobilística. No entanto, a logística de transporte na região norte do Brasil apresenta ...desafios que afetam o desempenho das empresas ali instaladas. Este artigo tem como objetivo analisar os entraves logísticos enfrentados por uma empresa automobilística no PIM, identificando suas causas e impactos nas operações da empresa. Para isso, foi realizado um estudo qualitativo que incluiu a análise de dados de desempenho logístico com documentos da empresa, artigos e dados da SUFRAMA. Os resultados indicam que a falta de infraestrutura adequada, a complexidade do transporte na região e a falta de planejamento são alguns dos principais obstáculos enfrentados pela empresa localizada no PIM.
O artigo apresenta uma análise da percepção dos discentes do curso de Tecnologia em Logística da Faculdade de Tecnologia (FATEC) Guarulhos, tendo em vista a relevância das competências relacionadas ...ao exercício profissional em Logística. A metodologia assumiu caráter descritivo, sob o enfoque da pesquisa de campo, originando-se em uma amostra não probabilística e fazendo o uso da aplicação de um questionário e sua respectiva análise. Como resultado identificou-se as dez principais competências, na opinião dos alunos, destacando-se entre elas o relacionamento com os clientes.
Sunflower is one of the most popular and extensively produced crops in Ukraine. Almost all production of sunflower is processed further into sunflower oil. During the last 20 years, the amount of ...produced and exported Ukrainian sunflower oil have increased markedly, so Ukraine has become the world's biggest producer of sunflower oil and its exporter. However, due to the increasing industry concentration and rapid sunflower oil price growth starting from mid-2020, the Antimonopoly Committee of Ukraine started its investigation of the sunflower oil supply for the possible competition issues. There are suspicions that there might be a collusion of sunflower oil producers aimed at an artificial price increase. Those concerns have motivated us to study the potential manifestation of market power in the Ukrainian sunflower oil supply chain. For this purpose, the Threshold Autoregressive Cointegration model was estimated, using monthly producer and consumer sunflower oil prices from January 2013 to September 2021. The results of this analysis bring evidence about a long-term cointegration between price pairs. Moreover, there is a noticeably more dynamic price correction for the negative deviations from the long-run equilibrium than for positive deviations.
Drawing on Resource Dependence Theory (RDT), the objective of this study is to empirically explore supply chain disruptions of COVID-19, and suggest strategies to mitigate them. In-depth interviews ...were conducted with supply chain professionals working in the Electrical & Electronic (E&E) industry in Malaysia. Interviews were analysed by following seven steps of the van Kaam method. Findings suggest six strategies: global command centre with daily planning cycle to mitigate component shortages; collaboration with suppliers to mitigate glove shortages; assist local suppliers in obtaining permits to mitigate disrupted manufacturing; dual sourcing to mitigate single-sourcing disruptions; collaboration with freight carriers and government agencies to mitigate disrupted freight; and ERP-integrated EDI to mitigate disrupted data sharing. The findings offer strategies for managers to de-risk their supply chains in post-COVID-19 era, and it could be applied further in similar future supply chain disruptions.
State policy should be aimed at subsidizing the modernization of traffic flows, which will increase volumes and added value, should also be aimed at encouraging, reducing barriers for logistics ...companies that not only increase the export of goods, but also the export of services. Thus, this allows increasing GDP per capita and will lead to an increase in the instruments of interaction between transport flows. The article considers the countries that have significant potential to learn from the policies that perform best around the world. From the point of view of traffic supply, i.e. the market for logistics services, countries should be able to attract important interaction activities between traffic flows, which can contribute to further goals of transport logistics optimization. In general, it can be said that global value chains have a positive effect on the number of companies, because the more a country imports and exports a finished product, the more personnel it needs, if we are talking about services, then companies also need highly qualified personnel and thus there will be a higher level of service.
Originality/Value: An outline of the phenomenon of commodification in transport and of mechanisms that can help solve contemporary dilemmas of transport companies.
