Vojteh Ribnikar je bil več kot učitelj - svoje delo je vzel kot poslanstvo. Njegov namen ni bil le učiti, ampak učence tudi pripraviti na življenje, sredstvo za to pa mu je predstavljal šolski vrt, ... na katerem so se učenci naučili koristnih in uporabnih spretnosti. Iz svoje prakse je v priporočilo stanovskim kolegom napisal tudi učni načrt za kmetijstvo in sadjarstvo na ljudskih šolah. S svojim delom ni doprinesel le šolstvu, temveč s širšim delovanjem v kraju tudi k njegovemu razvoju, po čemer se ga krajani še danes spominjajo.
