In this paper three different approaches for handling truncated data are discused: ignoring truncation,eliminating truncated data and taking into account truncated data in exploatory analysis, linear ...regression and survival analysis, respectively. These approaches are ilustrated on an example studying relationship among variables describing behaviour postpartum. Survival analysis only allows truncated data. It can be concluded that, if possible, the design of the study should avoid truncated data.
